In this video I challenged me and my animator friends to attempt to do animation with our non-dominant hand. Drawing with my left hand is incredibly hard.

During my high school days, my AP Studio Art teacher made the class do an exercise where we had to create a detailed piece with our non dominant hand with either paint, charcoal, or graphite. Needless to say, none of our finished pieces turned out very well. We were fortunate in that the exercise wasn't worth very many points. Haha

Ross and others could draw only using their feet while blindfolded and it still would be art masterpiece compared to my dominant hand drawings

I feel like it would be interesting to see them do surreal loop art animation on Gartic phone with their dominant hand. Just have the most weird and wacky progression that loops perfectly

I just got an idea! You should do a loop challenge where the first half of the animation is free-form and starting from the middle the artists get the first frame as a reference to work towards.

This reminds me of when I was in elementary school. I'm left handed and one of my writing teachers told me they wouldn't let me turn in an assignment if I used my left hand. I used my right hand, and they instantly apologized and told me to go back to my left.

This was so interesting to see! You can clearly tell they still *think* like animators, they just can’t *draw* like their usual self in this video. Also I love that, when they draw with their non-dominant hand, they can still draw better than I can with my dominant hand... :’)

That Nigel Thornberry one reminds me of the meme gif I saw years ago and still love. Someone made Hank Hill in MiiTopia and used that Mii as the princess in the Fantasy Adventure game. In the princess reveal, the Mii spins, flips it's hair, revealing Hank Hill's face and a 'Princess Hank Hill' name plate! It's great!

It's true though. You're exercising your brain when you draw and ur dominant hand is just the most stable part you can use for drawing, but the skill is still there even tho it looks a bit wacky. This vid is def the proof of it
