How to Format an eBook for Upload to KDP using Microsoft Word, including Table of Contents.

Using my own Formatting for KDP Cheat Sheet, I lead you through how to set up an eBook in Microsoft Word for easy upload to KDP.com
It's important to know why eBooks needs to be flexible and fluid so I go into this in the first two minutes. I go over using simple page breaks and margin settings. At the end of this information, I go over how to create an eBook Table of Contents that only uses links. I show you how to adjust the fonts, etc. if you need to.
I also go over the "other pages" to add if you are a self publisher and are building a readership.
And I also show the link to use to create a review link for any book on Amazon KDP. You can add this to your book as soon as you receive your ASIN number.

TFS. This really helped me. The only thing I wished you had added was how to fix tabs. My tabs for my paperback are fine, but when I uploaded this version to KDP, the tabs were in to far.

I'm trying to get my book published. Do the chapters of a book have to be in the same file? Mine are in separate files.

Yes. If you are publishing on KDP, which is what Amazon is called when you are self-publishing, your entire manuscript should be in one document. The cover you will be directed to upload separately. I hope this helps! Just copy them carefully, one after the other into the same book. Make sure you use "heading 1" on all of your chapters. This is what the Table of Contents will work from.

@@reddahlia35 You need to get a page count and have KDP produce a customized book cover template. I just did a video on making a paperback and hardback cover from only an ebook and I think this would be helpful to you.
