When I was a young boy, we couldn't afford Wood Frames. Instead, we made BROOM KITES with attractive PATTERNS for the Kite PAPER. The NOSE was fashioned, along with the LOOP, to maximise the SINGING and DANCING in the Wind🪁🪁🪁. We even used GAMMA CHERRY 🍒 as PASTE. Kite Paper was 1 cent each, but wood frame used BROWN PAPER. Happy Memories of my young halcyon Days in GUYANA 🇬🇾 ❤️ 👍🇬🇧🪁🪁🪁❤️🪁👍🪁🇬🇧

We used ATLAS 1000 yds Thread to fly our BROOM KITES 🪁🪁. The big boys used CHALK LINE TWINE to fly their Wood Frame Kites. The race was to have the BEST PATTERNS and the BEST SINGING/DANCING kite . Some Twits would mix GROUND GLASS with boiled Rice and rub it along the flying TWINE to cut other people's Kites. It was a good run 🏃♂️ to keep away from these Beasts. 😖😖🤣🤣🤣🤣🥴😵💫🤭🤭🤭🤭😱🤯🙀. I remember it all so well. 👍❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🪁

Very impressive, making a board kite head with broom, do you always use broom? Is it durable enough? I always use bamboo.

You have to double it and yes it is durable enough I always use broom on my board kite

Cool 😎👍 if you want the string to be tighter you can put on the head and then pull it so when you go the bamboo go stretch it out make the strong stiffer
