HOW TO FREEZE AVOCADOS!! MONEY SAVING GROCERY TIPS!!

The cost of groceries is not going down and in the present economy it would seem that we need to do everything possible to save the food we spend our money on and not let it go in the trash! Today I am sharing a money saving grocery tip for avocado lovers! Did you know you can freeze avocados? You Can! Today I am sharing how to do it and how you can buy when they are on sale and save them for later! They defrost quickly on your counter and you can slice, dice, and mash them just as you would the fresh version! There is no difference in texture or taste! You can toss them into smoothies, mash them for guacamole or avocado toast or dice them for your tacos or to throw into a salad. I found mine on a super price so I decided to share this tip with you since I was stocking up! I hope you give this way of preserving avocados a try and I hope you love it!

Thanks for this. Here is another tip, place one of the stones (pip) amongst the avo's before freezing and also place the stone in the zip lock bag with the avocados. The stone prevents any oxidation. I also place a stone in my salads to prevent oxidation and remove it just before I serve. For some reason, this works.

Thank-you! I always make guacamole and freeze it in flattened ziplock sandwich bags. When I don’t have time for that, I will do this now. I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me, but it just didn’t. You rock!

Thank you for this video Noreen. Just recently our Commissary set up a produce clearance table at the back of the produce section. They usually have a few netted bags of about 8 avocados per bag on clearance for $1.00. Now I can take advantage of these deals when o see them. Be well, stay kind and blessings to all~

WOW! I love clearance produce and markdown meats! Such a great opportunity to stock the freezer! Also a great way to use slightly over ripe fruit for dehydrating!

No they are just oxidized because my avocado got dented

You just use them anywhere you like avocado. I was not planning on using in recipe videos.

Those Avocados are Not Good !! We Mexican throw them away if they look like yours ! any black spot is No Good at all .... 😞
