There no more waiting for avocados ripen. I found a great way to get them ripe FAST> Micro wave them for 2 min>> If its still hard? Micro wave the whole avocado another 2 min. Let them cool down HERE HOT. Plus they don't turn brown as fast either. Last for a long time in the Frig. They are a little darker green when cook like that> BUT ITS GREAT 👍👍

Ok just stick the whole avocado skin and all on the freezer! Easy peasy! You can out it in a bag if you want to help keep air out, but I have done it both ways. Stays green and consistency is a little more mushy than fresh, otherwise great. The thing is not to wait until they are getting over ripe. Buy a heap and when ready to eat but still firm freeze the surplus

Tell ya, A true story? I had a lot of whole fresh avocados, And they was hard. I was hungry for them. So i tried micro wave it 30 sec. It was hot and still hard. so i tried 1 min still hot and hard. THEN I WENT 2 MIN wow it was hot and soft 👌 I let it cool down to peel it. OMG it was only a slice darker green. And SMOKING > I mash it up in to avocado salad 👀 OMG IT WAS GREAT TASTING. So that how i got doing this ? I LOVE IT

What’s the texture like once thawed?

This is the problem when freezing Avocados. It becomes mushy when thawed. The creamy texture gone.

The browning of the Avocado flesh is due to being exposed to oxygen. Same process occurs with apples, bananas, etc. Drizzling any of those with lemon juice helps to slow down that process. Lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange...any if those juices (think citric acid) will have the protective effect. Google the chemistry of the process if you want to drill down on details.
