My mom said she wanted to braid my hair. Not sure if she meant a french braid yet, but I felt like I should look up a tutorial and this is exactly the kind of energy I was looking for. I have no idea what you just did though. I have to check out the other braid tutorials you mentioned near the start. I also love that your hair is exactly like mine. Too often I find hair videos where the person just doesn't have hair like mine at all.

Great job! Great thing about a braid is it can give someone like you with very straight hair a wave when you take it down and for someone like me with curly hair it can stretch the curls out into a more wavy pattern ( and thus hanging longer than springy curls ) and added benefit of keeping the tangles down. 🤙🏽

Yooo thank you for taking my suggestion from Instagram! I still think my hair is too short to French braid it myself (however my mom was able to braid it a week ago… lmao) and I tried earlier but it was pretty difficult. I’ll be sure to come back to this video once my hair is a few inches longer tho!!

I'll be able to do it just like that in around a year, my hair is super thick so hopefully won't be too much of a problem 😂

If i'm going out to a formal/semi-formal occasion, I will roll up the braid to the base of my neck into a bun (without calling it that) and use a tie to hold it. Or fold it in half and tie it down with a very long lacing like the Native Americans do (there are lots of good vids on how they do that - you should get some guest spots!!). Or fold it in half and just use a tie at the base of the neck. Just some different looks to switch it up.

Please do one for husbands to learn how to french braid their wife's hair! Lol I need my husband to learn because I can't do my own
