I'm 41 and started skating for the first time in January. My son introduced to this channel and I'm surprised how much progress I've been able to make. Landed a shove it yesterday and can get it almost every time now. It's awesome seeing all the comments from others around my age getting back into skating or picking it up for the first time.

Bro, I'm 40 now. Skated from 6th grade through HS and then stopped in college but just decided to pick it back up again.

Aaron and team, I cant thank you guys enough for the motivation and lessons through your content. I am 36 and started skating about 3 months ago due to you guys. Just landed my first frontside 180 today and my first frontside 5050 last week. Looking forward to my first kickflip. Thank you guys. Please never stop.

Hey Aaron, love the series! I wish I could follow along skating with every episode, but the winter weather isn't exactly giving me the chance to do so :D As soon as spring hits and it is dry outside, I'll for sure try to get the progression for vid 1-10. I've been skating on and off for about 7 years, and last summer I finally got my moving ollies almost every try :D Cheers from Bulgaria, and keep on shredding!

I cant remember if I ever landed this trick. I think I have. But, I remember the advise to learn ollie off a curb first because it gives you more time if you learn the frontside 180 off a curb. Funny how memory works, same day I was introduced to the ride on grind on a curb. That was about 23 years ago. Back then, most skaters in my city were bullies but there were some cool ones too.

Man I need this today. I’ve been trying to do the sms vol 1 tricks all in a row with no mistakes. Today my best attempt died because of my FS 180. How could I lose it there?! I guess none of these tricks are ever truly free (at least for me).

oh, I like how you added in Regular and Goofy labels, I was wondering why the last few videos didn't mention it and just kept swapping back and forth between them. Maybe you can show both on screen at once, like left and right, just to show the difference?

Old Skater dude here again (52) My Ollies attempts seem to be turning into a backside 180 attempts apparently, I am doing something wrong. I guess I need to STOP turning my shoulders didn't even realize I was crazy man!!

I did the same thing when I was younger skating and find myself doing it again learning to skate 20+ years later. It feels natural and I can Ollie a lot farther turning the 90 degrees or whatever I do. I guess it’s safer to not have the skateboard zip out from under you? I am 40 and getting back into it also and wish you the best of luck. I forgot to add I was able to correct it when younger I just had to be aware and practice but doing your Ollie’s either way you are getting used to the motion to move to a regular rolling Ollie.

@@V3v15c3r8 thanks for the encouragement I will try and be mindful of my posture I just want a nice straight Ollie, freaks me out when everything is facing the opposite way.

I'm not an expert, 36 yo starting to shred on skateboard this year. I can't do a proper shuveit, but I think I got Ollies. I keep my shoulder feet and knee square. If I try to jump to much (better bend knee to upper than force on lower position), or if my foot isnt square or not in the middle (width), I m going to turn 45 degrees on left or right. Also keep looking down while jumping (like when you drive, your sight made your direction) to make sur you are square you can jump and do a T pose with your arm. Hope that is helpful. GL

I learned for FS 180 before I could ollie cleanly. My ollies kept going 90 degrees (bad foot placement) so I just went for it and it worked.

I can only do this up to 90 degrees. I can do the Ollie motion fine but I can’t seem to turn my shoulders. As much as I want too my shoulders won’t turn. if they do turn I completely miss the Ollie portion, I can’t seem to commit. Any tips or help?

One important tip the REALLY helped me was practising reverts, pivoting on my front trucks while riding then continuing fakie. It emulates the motion of the fs 180, and felt pretty alien when I started. But once you get them down you kinda know the motion of the fs180
