HOW TO: FULL COVERAGE FOR DRY SKIN

4 жыл бұрынHey guys! I've partnered with Benefit Cosmetics for this video, using their brand new POREfessional Hydrate Primer! I wanted to test this hydrating primer by pairing it with a more full coverage powdered base, and I LOVE how this looked and wore! It's infused with Hyaluronic Acid (which I love) and Shea Butter. So it's meant to hydrate the skin for 12 hours but also fill in pores and smooth lines - a bonus!

Tips for all my dry skin folks: Never do makeup without moisturize or something that makes your skin slippery/moisturizing. Less is also better because dryness will always be prominent and noticeable from up close. (That’s if you layer makeup) Never bake unless you want texture to be the first thing people notice, only a light dusting of powder will do the trick. Trust me y’all, baking is beautiful for the camera, in real life it will NEVER look that good. I promise you on that. Also use foundations or BB creams that have some slight moisture to it, do not get a pure matte foundation as this will make your skin texture appear even worse. Set your makeup with setting spray to give your face some hydration. and use gloss or lip balm if your lips are dry as well, no matte lipstick please

Should have put the the prep part because the main problem we have with dry skin would of appreciated to know the products used as it is more important than the makeup itself it can make or break a look but as always flawless finish luv it

I always use a mist (Caudalie or a hydrating mist), hyaluronic acid serum to hydrate, and an oil free moisturizer and eye cream. I agree that part was missing but I wanted to focus on the primer! I promise the next one will involve an in depth skincare routine ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Haha no not at all! I do love baking - but it depends on the look. I wanted to go all out with this to see how the hydrating primer makes the skin look overall even with a lot of powder, and I think it looked good! I do love baking in different levels (I did bake here mainly because I find Anastasia shadows to have heavy fallout and I was scared it was going to ruin the base). I hope that makes sense! ❤️❤️

Do your shadows last, love - then you won't have to worry about laying down so much drying powder to catch the fall out.

@@Hindash yes it does make sense. You wanted to be able to brush the eyeshadow fallout away easily. Having a lot of powder underneath for the fallout to land on makes this job much easier. You explained it very well :)
