The Sixers are cursed (Bynum never plays a game, NBA forces Colangelo to take over, Fultz freak accident cant shoot anymore, trade Mikal Bridges for Zhaire Smith (who nearly dies from peanut allergy), Ben refusing to shoot, Kawhi shot, etc.). THAT is cursed

I really don't get why the Clippers extended Kawhi before free agency even started, I get that he's the "face of the franchise" but he's so unreliable. I'm guessing Clippers management took a guess with free agency and just knew that the pool was going to be relatively weak and just decided to give Kawhi the extension anyway, but that still doesn't explain why they wouldn't do the same with Paul George. All the times Kawhi was hurt, Paul George always stepped up and did his best to lead the Clippers as far as he could and the fact that the Clippers refused to give him a max is honestly disrespectful.

Clippers offered him the same 3 year deal as Kawhi. But PG is greedy and wanted a full 4 yr max. We were never going to give him that cuz he'll be 39 on the last year and he's already regressed so much and is as injury prone as Kawhi. Got locked up by Derrick Jones JR in playoffs. For him to think he deserves more the Kawhi is disrespectful especially when he claims he's number #2 option

Clippers literally ran Blake into the ground. Part of it is his own fault for not wanting to switch up his game after his like 3rd injury, but they also should have been more demanding and adjusting as well. But, yk, that doesn’t happen with Doc Rivers as coach lol

The Tatum puck was actually Philly's pick. You can't assume that Brooklyn would have been smart enough to trade down for the guy they really wanted anyway and would have been left with Fultz. Speaking of which, Philly really gakked up the last decade too. They had the #1 pick both years that Boston had Brooklyn's #3 pick, so they could have had Brown and Tatum instead of Simmons and Fultz.

Given the Clippers and Nets time to win one chip ever since the Kawhi and KD transactions: - Lakers and Celtics won another chip each to stack on top of their 16+ titles. - Bucks won their new chip since Kareem. - Warriors won their last chip after the 2010s outside of their prime time. - Nuggets won their first ever chip. Meanwhile, both teams never reach the conference finals once (except the 2021 Clippers).

Extremely unpopular opinion: The NBA vetoed the Lakers trade because the NBA, acting as owner of the New Orleans Hornets, thought the Clippers deal gave the Hornets a better return at the time. The NBA did not want the Hornets to get a return of just Kevin Martin (who was already showing signs of regression at 28) and Luis Scola (Who was 31 and averaged 15.5/6.5/2.1) for Chris Paul. The NBA thought getting Al-Farouq Aminu, young Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman and an unprotected first would give the Hornets more flexibility to make trades and acquire talent on a rebuilding team.

That Nets trade only looks as bad as it does because Deron Williams fell off a cliff. The team might not have been a championship team, but they should've made a 2 or 3 good playoff runs, which would've made them an attractive FA destination. But Deron Williams went from All-Star to scrub almost overnight, that's ruined them. So the picks ended up being a lot better than they should've been. The shoe is on the other foot for the Nets now, sure the next pick or 2 of the Knicks should be 20+, but 2029 and 2031... that Knicks team will have been blown up by then. :D
