How to FUSE the BEST THANATOS in Persona 3 Reload (Fusion Build Guide)

Thanatos is one of the coolest looking Personas in all of the series and the story behind him is AMAZING! In this guide, I will show you how to fuse the best version of him in my opinion!
I will be using the fusion recipe and principles of the fusion calculator as usual for this build so definitely check out the videos below to see a TUTORIAL on how to use these tools.
Some prerequisites to be aware of are:
- Death Rank 10 is required (naturally through story)
- From my fusion recipe, I did require Star Rank 10 and Sun Rank 10
- I also required Elizabeth's request, particularly the fusion series of requests, to be completed up to fusing a Loki
- A lot of money. If you find yourself strapped for cash I have another GUIDE on HOW TO earn money fast (see link below!).
Thanatos is really dope and the build lends itself to being a powerhouse of dark and almighty potential. The skills I have outlined are the BEST to have if you're going for something similar. The only replacement would be Unshaken Will and grab something else maybe, in its place. Also, Almighty Amp would be good but that can only be achieved through a Skill mutation which may or may not happen and I explain that in the video.

Why not commit to the dark damage? I’d replace megidolaon and almighty boost with dark boost and multi target boost for more damage output with the maeigaon

@@zeffyno8 buddy I want to know what if you lack you base personas you need to fuse do you have to start the game again because if so I will undergo a massive implosion

@@user-vx4nb2cx4s you can fuse any Persona in the game with other Persona prerequisites. Use a fusion calculator or watch my fusion guide on the channel.

i would commit to dark, since you can commit a build (helel for example) for almighty damage. almighty is not good in this game anyways. i would recommend: maeigaon, dark boost, dark amp, spell master, null light, null phys, multi target boost/single, magic mastery (if you can get it haha) and use the ultimate weapon for makoto which comes with magic ability. you can also replace anything that says “dark” with any affinity (i used diamond dust)

I like using Life Aid passive skill that heals 8% of HP and SP after battle I combo it with Spell master or Arms master. So that the M.C. will have basically unlimited SP till I get Victoy Cry. 8% of 500 SP is 40sp recovery add Spell Master you can do an all nighter farming the Reaper.

If I did this against elizabeth, I would swap out Drain light for Resist Light and Unshaken will for Evade Dark (So you couldn't break any rules)

I'd capitalize on his unique attack. If you managed to get Almighty Amp through mutation, I'd throw that plus Almighty Boost, Single-Target as well (if they stack), Spell Master, Drain Light, and then whatever other passives you enjoy (Enduring Soul, Unshaken Will, Ali Dance)

Actually a very good point lol. I probably tunnelled vision and just thought I don't need to inherit so many skills but forget Morning Star the pinnacle of Almighty attacks...

thanatos is in a weird spot for me; alice is the defacto best dark persona, and helel/satan make arguably better almighty persona. personaly i made him into a slash build with brave/vorpal blade, slash boosts, crit boosts and repel light. its al little out of character but he does get innate slash skills i guess

Technically Helel isn't better as morning star can be transferred to Thanatos. But yea Satan is the best almighty persona as black viper is the strongest almighty attack and can't be passed down to others

@kentan9387 yeah I still like keeping morning star on helel though it seems more thematic. Besides I'm pretty sure elements + weaknesses or physical + crit will always hit harder than black viper, almighty is kinda weak in these games

Yes physical skills are far superior in the game but at least almighty is better than elemental magic as it can't be resisted and Satan is probably the best option due to black viper

It's not really out of character. in every appearance he has in both games, movies, etc he only ever uses Megidolon when Elizabeth uses him. Other than that he's hacking and slashing with a ghastly wail every now and then

No Akinari is the Sun Arcana and you need to max him out to unlock the Asura persona. You unlock his social link after reaching rank 3 with Maiko who is also found at the shrine. If you mean not needing Asura then I guess you're right. Since Asura is only needed for Unshaken will which can also be found in the Persona Masakado after completing Elizabeth's request or the more accessible Futsunushi which is a persona you unlock after maxing out Kenji who you meet more earlier in the game and more available. That assuming you opt for learning Unshaken Will

For this build, I needed Asura which is Rank 10 Sun. If you can get the skills somewhere else (which you definitely could) then you may or may not need it.

Magician social link rank 10 allows you to fuse futsunushi and he learns unshaken will so max out Kenji social link cause hes easy and hes like the first one you meet

If you have access to the Sun arcana card from shuffle time, you can fuse Persona's that are 5 lvls higher than you. Otherwise you'll have to grind to get to the level you want.
