one thing that I didn't hear covered in the video: the trinkets from the Time Rift vendors are great for filling in your trinket slots with decent 424 trinkets, and are crazy easy to get, especially for your alts. Likewise, don't forget all this gear can be catalyzed for easy tier -- my alts are dinging 70 and slapping on their 4 piece bonus.

So wait for the next expansion, got it.

13:20 - just a heads up for new/returning players - you don't need to tip 1,000,020 gold for your crafting orders haha. If they're simple crafts, most people (on my server) will do it 500-1,000 😆 great guide as always!

i like being able to gear up without having to run mythic+ or heroic/mythic raids. i always feel like im holding the group back with bad tanking/DPS skillz so i never bother trying to group up for anything outside of raid and dungeon finder groups. super helpful guide, will finally be getting those juicy 437 gears now >:)

Solid advice for the open world, solo only, player. With only 6 weeks left til next season, you'll only have the wyrm crests for 6 crafted pieces... so if you really want to play it safe... store ALL of the wyrm crests until you finish all 6 weeks on the timewalking. See which 6 pieces of loot you get from the boxes, maybe you get lucky and drop 6 pieces in all different slots. Maybe that ilvl is average 434. That means you could use 6 wyrm crests to take six pieces of loot to 437 & still have enough wyrm crest to craft 4 more 437 pieces. Or you could do what I do, craft a 437 embellished boots and then drop boots from the quest... haha. As a player who raids and pushes m+ content, I like that the solo players have options to work & get geared.

like your content but stop telling all by yourself please. dungeons and lfr are group content. lots of way to gain drake crest to upgrade gears from 411 to 424. but full 437 till patch 10.2 is not possible with only outdoor content . you need 4 wyrm crest to upgrade one champion gear from 424 to 437. just with outdoor content you earn only one wyrm crest once a week with the dreamsurge quest. 12 gears slots X 4 wyrm crests =48 wyrm crests and i dont count trinkets not available at champion lvl it takes 48 weeks or nearly 12 months to get 437 ilvl just with outdoor content. so you should say aim easy ilvl 424 gear all by yourself. if you count dungeons and lfr its not fair. the last lfr i did took me more than 4 hours and i count queue time of course 424 is not bad its normal raid lvl

It's a very confusing system now with way too many types of currency, especially if you have alts. Seems like each crest tier is just a microstep towards "normal" gearing (m+, raids, etc) Thanks for the breakdown

Altough its not a solo method but the researchers event in zaralek cavern is another great and fast option every week for a champion gear. There is always a group for it you will get insta invite. To have the champion gear you have to do all 12 steps thats why you need a big group. Also i always combine this with the weekly loam nifin quest cause the research event with the highest bag gives at least 1000 rep.

it is definitely a long process to upgrade 437 if you are solo. i am in the process of doing it and having a cap on drake crests and very limited wyrm crests makes this process as a solo player very long. thankfully i have unlimited gold basically via WoW token selling, so i buy Heroic raid runs and/or higher level mythic+ which makes it so much faster. A full heroic run does cost a pretty penny, around 230-270k gold, with no item reserves, but you do get several wyrm crests, some possible group loot wins, and your vault. Thank goodness for raid/dungeon seller services!!

No solo player wants to spend the entire patch farming shards to upgrade gear and spend less time using the gear than it took to farm the damn shards…only to turn around and be back at square one next patch…grind>reward=quit. They keep trying to dangle carrots to join the assembly line of gear upgrades in higher end content, instead of creating and encouraging a more enjoyable playing experience. Guild match with AI surveys and encourage communal play (where the real fun is)

Great guide, but I think there's a few things that are important to consider. 1) Don't use your dream tokens for weapons unless you absolutely have to - prioritize those for tier slot items instead as mentioned 2) Craft a weapon (or two) as soon as you can, aside from Evokers, almost all others will benefit greatly from the ability to upgrade the crafted weapon to 447 3) When sending a crafting order, provide materials AND make sure you're providing max level materials, otherwise you'll be in trouble later on ugprading the items. 4) Finish the campaing, because you will gain two Enchanted Shadowflame Tokens from there (and use them for weapons) And finally, maybe a little anti-casual take here, but I think it's rediculously easy to get to 440 ilvl or even 445 at the moment.

Great but with all that work I would weave in a few low level M+ per week. It requires very little effort at 13 or less and the weekly vault roll will always be an upgrade for you in the first few weeks.

tbh I found this to complicated, why can't it be like it used to be. Just to many shit at the moment in WoW its so overwhelming. Great video though, keep on going!

I think a great thing would be if there was an npc who could say, strip the crests or flightstones from a piece of gear so you can use it on a different piece. Sometimes i get an upgrade and really wish i saved materials instead of wasting them on something i replace.

there MUST be a hidden trigger for killing the summoned dragon at the assult cause I did it last night & the dragon droped vet lvl, tho BEFORE 1.7 the chest DID give champion gear but was nocked down & all champ gear from the 5 man weekly were busted and couldnt be used in the reforger.

Man, this is too overwhelming. Too many currencies and events with specific time frames. Also have a bunch of new icons on the map and not sure what quests to do or are required.

As someone who returned from shadowland, this was incredibly helpful.

You forgot to say that the 415 gear can only be upgraded to 424 without group content becasue of the item you need after 424 comes from raid or m+ .

Can you not turn crafted gear into tier set? So you should get the 415 champion dreamsurge gear as helm,shoulder,chest,gloves, or pants first for tier set and craft as much other gear as possible?

This is good information, but with the gigantic item level jump coming in 10.2 (likely less than 2 months away) this is a colossal poor use of your limited gaming time unless you really, really enjoy it...or only play WoW

Sorry but doing all the New world content PLUS grinding the flightstones (5-12 per world quest) required to upgrade..nah that aint easy when u r talking 10 alts. Hard pass. Maybe, 402, maybe 415 consisting of gear that doesnt have your best stats. Its DOABLE, not easy.

Solo? 90% of the items you need for upgrading or crafting are only drop in dungeon. The items you need for 437 are drops in M+. Thats not a guide for solo players because literly 90% you talk about is group/dungeon content 😂

8:53 not a good sign, the timewalker reward box is supposed to be locked to the next lvl of raid content you HAVE NOT done yet, only do LFR its normal, clear all normal it give heroic, so if there changing this, there are no assurances they will remove it, more bait & switches.

I have been catching up gear by going into heroic raid with alts. A much more faster way to gear up. The raid even on heroic isn’t hard especially by now most ppl are pretty much geared up. I done this as lead with no guild and with random ppl

Your relationships in this game can be evergreen, your gear upgrades will always be temporary. Find a good guild, the game could make that a lot easier with AI surveys matching you to guilds, and the guild search is beyond embarrassing in-game. The community is where it’s at, not your epics.

This is so lame, was going to give retail a go again after my 2nd HC classic death but you know what? This is all so dumb. Collect currency, get this handout gear, collect another currency, upgrade gear blah blah back to HC classic.

Gearing system is the worst it has been so far...i don't want to get my gear by FORCED profession or orders...i wanna kill shit to get it, without rng crap. 😊
