How to : gel polish ombre (fade) tutorial - NO special brushes or sponges

Ombre (fade) of one of the most popular designs. But some nail technicians are struggling with it and can't reach the perfect blend. There are many different ways to do ombre - with a regular brush, with special ombre brush, with a sponge...
Int his tutorial I will show you one of the easiest ways as you don't need any special tools here - only brush from the gel polish bottle!

Make sure to choose colors that blend into another color. Some colors combined may not be attractive and over-working the blend can make it look muddy. For example, red on one side and yellow on the other will make orange in the middle.

Hello everyone! Could this work to do a faded french tip (babyboomer) on the horizontal instead and with some white and light or translucent pink?

This was great. THANKYOU Anastasia. Is it possible to use 2 gels from different brands? Also can you do a tutorial with the blend line going across (horizontally ) the nail as with a french fade? Grateful. Leah ☺

Thank you, Leah. Yes you can, but they need to have the same level of pigmentation. You can watch full version of my webinar , link is in the description box - I explained this part and how to choose the colors that will blend easily and which won't work at all. Horizontal ombre added to my "new video ideas" list ;)

Is there a way to avoid shrinking of the gel i find this happening while im working on some fingers and not on some others i cant figure out if its technique or what

Johana, yes, it might happen with some gels. make sure your layers are not too thick

Hi Anastasia. So the other day my friend went to the nail salon to get gel nails. But when she put her nails under the lamp it burnted her skin.They waren't like those burns that live marks but it hurted for like a moment or two. Do you lnow why?

thats the heat from the curing of the gel..(it may have been applied too thick)
