I work in underground cable and aerial. The problem you guys have is a bad kinked hardline or a node with bad balance. Just saying tell ur internet provider. They can fix it but it probably would take a few months till they actually get to it.

Team Redline Drags No no no when I say this, I mean my router has really bad range. It has great WiFi if you are right next to it... but if not, it’s terrible. Which actually, a huge thunderstorm just hit and fried our router. Along with like 4 TVs, all the cable boxes, etc. So, we will hopefully not have this problem, as I am going to get a new router soon.

Luke Patrick ok so, if you have an old version of ps4(fat model) it doesn’t have a powerful WiFi card. Meaning that it cannot handle and receive 5g WiFi( because usually spectrum has 2 WiFi types one 2g and one 5g). However, if you connect it with LAN, it doesn’t rely on WiFi card anymore and it receives as much as internet it can. If you have a slim or pro version, you can receive 5g internet with WiFi, but you can still use LAN because it also removes packet loss problems. I personally have an old ps4 version and after a I used lan, my speed went from 20 mbps to 170-200 mbps. Hope that helps.

Gaming consoles have great network cards. These cards actually support 1gb speeds but Microsoft and Sony Networks block those ultra speeds and the reason why is so some players don't have a huge advantage in online play. It's not that the hardware doesn't support it it is due to the network acting as a choke point.

I went from 49mbps to 375-450mbps download speed! Dude thank you so much! For everyone else thats doing this and not getting good results you have to see which one of the DNS server #'s in the list he shows works for you, the one he used in the video was alright but i found a better connection from one of the other numbers (as of writing this i dont remember which one but i will edit when i figure out). Edit: Mine worked better on the OPEN DNS server, but im east coast US, if you are west coast you may have to use different one, like he says in video.

if you're saying "it doesnt work for me" its most likely because the dns server hes using is closer to him so people like in that region or around there are gonna have it better using the same dns than someone who doesnt live around there using that same dns try looking up better dns servers near you

Using my default dns and a high speed wired connection, my Series X download speed was bouncing wildly between 6 and 40 mbps, but anytime it sped up, would go right back down to around 6. Tried using Google’s dns, (again with the high speed cable) and now it’s ranging from 60 to 300 mbps! Thank you for making this video!!!

Worked for me, went from 65mbps to 89mbps, not a huge difference but it’s good enough.

So i was using OpenDNS in my DNS settings, my download was very good but recently my upload speed is garbage. I got a 500/500 connexion. I changed for this dns and my Upload is still trash. I can't even Share play and it wasnt a problem before. I tried everything. Im on ps4 pro i bet they broke something in the last firmware update. It's frustrating
