i can confirm that knocking on doors works very well. i did that today, met tons of people and about 85% of them said yes to at least a quote. i probably quoted $2500 worth of work in the span of 3 hours.

I just moved to Houston 2 weeks ago and need a job badly but I’d rather have my own business. Been wanting to get into pressure washing for a while now and definitely in a city now that could use it. Looking into the equipment right now and will probably be purchasing it by end of week.

How do you price up a driveway and walkway?

I would go onto google earth, find the house, use the measurement tool to find the square footage of the concrete and multiply that number by .15 or .20. The point will be your cost per square footage.

Why do you start from the bottom to the top of the drive way? Don’t you el want your dirt washout at the same Time? I’m just learning. Thanks

If you start at the top, you're going to hover into a puddle of water if its not running off good and it will be less effective, Start at the lowest point to avoid puddling, then rinse when you're done.

You'll wanna bring your own water if possible. As most of the pressure washers that are actually worth the money for your business pull too many gallons per minute if I understand correctly. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

You always connect to the customer’s water supply. Pretty much everyone expects it. There’s also a clause about this in the agreement they sign. I use a buffer tank to maintain water pressure, but it’s constantly being re-filled.
