To obtain a 100% PTSD VA rating, a veteran’s symptoms to be so severe that they are totally impaired and unable to function in everyday life. Even if Veterans do not meet the scheduler criteria for a 100% rating, they may still qualify for benefits equal to the 100% rate through Individual Unemployability (TDIU).

VA recognized by PTSD but they say it can't be related to the Navy. I was tortured while I was in the Navy.

I'm rated at 50% right now but applying for an increase since I am now experiencing hallucinations, both audible and visual. Sever irritation, panic attacks, disturbed sleep, severe anxiety, and angry outbursts, I also have trouble remembering details. I am now continuing my therapy at the VA center near me.

You have strong medical evidence that cannot be refuted. Only question now is if they will rate you Permanent and Total. From what you are saying it is likely they will consider your condition Static, meaning it’s not likely to improve. Best of luck with tour claim👌🏻

You deserve to get a higher rate, its even fucking bullshit that they rate us based on those instead of ptsd as already severe. There isnt such as you are better because they gave you those meds. Im taking meds, its very hard for me to keep track or remember to take it. Im tated higher and i have those symthoms. I hope you get a higher rate. God speed brother

I was given a 30% PTSD from my exposure to the traumas in the Vietnam war. However, as soon as I was awarded 30% for Parkinson’s, my PTSD was removed and is no longer in my list of disabilities. I fail to understand why Parkinson’s is remotely related to PTSD. My Parkinson’s was caused by being sprayed three times directly with Agent Orange. Therefore, because PTSD was removed from my list (which discounted my disability total rating) and because the award list is what the Foreign Medical Program reimburses for; how will I get reimbursed for any PTSD treatment I might need out of the country. To me, it is just wrong.

I was given 70% and am going for 100%. I do suffer from panic attacks and extreme aggressive behavior. I take it out on the wrong people, which isn't fair. I wish I could just get the help instead of the money. The VA charged me over $35,000 for ptsd treatment.

The VA charged you for treatment?!? That does not sound right. I thought the VA gave you free treatment if you are rated for 30% disability.

@steverogers7601 I should have been more clear. It was free when I first got out, and then they started charging me for the care prior to applying for the disabilities. It ended up well over 35k

VA does provide treatment either at your VA, or through outpatient sources within your community. That’s a part of your 70% your awarded. Call the mental health department at your VA hospital and asked for authorization for treatment.

You know my PSYCHOLOGIST is writing ✍️ me up to get it SO HONESTLY I think it’s best to APPROVE IT and that’s not a THREAT. Because I’m about to START TEARING SHIT UP AGAIN IF YOU DON’T. And you REMEMBER how SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA was when I LOST IT BEFORE. I’m just being as HONEST AS I CAN. Because I’ve tried the PEACEFUL APPROACH but after the last incident where SOMEBODY PUSHED ME for no apparent reason I wanted to REMOVE HIS HEAD FROM HIS BODY. Because I haven’t had anything like that happen to me since 1993 and I FEEL LIKE I’M TRAPPED IN A CORNER WITH NO WAY OUT TO REASON. I can take the VERBAL ABUSE no problem but to PHYSICALLY put your hands on me is UNACCEPTABLE. That’s a SELF DEFENSE JUDGEMENT and a trip to the morgue. 🙏⚖️🤲🏽

what happens if the VA refuses to diagnose you with PTSD...diagnose you with every "SYMPTOM" of PTSD....but wont give you an official diagnoses of "PTSD"....because im only at 50 percent and my life has straight up fallen apart since my initial rating in 2016. IM currently working to gain evidence to prove my condition worsened through a private doctor (as im afraid the VA will try to look for reasons not to increase my disability or downplay any symptoms I have) and im just nervous I wont get a 90-100 percent because the VA, even during treatments (that never worked), never actually diagnosed me with "PTSD". Although I was sent to the PTSD clinic from my PA and did a few sessions, doctor during the PTSD clinic even said its weird im not diagnosed officially with PTSD since its clear and obvious I am. IDK why the VA has to be so confusing.

@@mattcrrn get a private doctor to do a C&P exam for your DBQ, and submit that as your evidence. If the VA still wants to see you for their own exam? Just tell them they have all the evidence they need to make a decision….you’re not going. Don’t listen to a lot of these channels that say they will deny you if you don’t go. Does self injurious behaviors include biting on the side of your tongue because of anxiety? The sides of my tongue are permanently scared and missing and causes swelling and was denied OSA because my oversized tongue was a factor.
