If you are in tier 3 college then cgpa does not matter at all because there are very less companies that visit the campus so most of the people focus on off campus placement or higher studies.

Marking scheme can differ in many colleges... generally in IITs and NITs the CGPA is at lower end due to strict marking scheme... But in colleges like BITS the CGPA is at higher end...@@harshitpathak2452
