Any chance of a more detailed breakdown of the actual 12 page form, home vs. business based ffl, how the “check” by the atf agent goes and/or pertinent questions to ask, how taking ownership goes if you buy something for personal collection like a suppressor while having an ffl/sot, the differences between the ffl types and why an 07 is the best way to go, are suppressors and machine guns both under one ffl type umbrella or can you get one to manufacture suppressors separately from machine guns (tho it would be cool to get the license to make suppressors and also be able to drop auto sears in shit lmao), the nuances and paperwork involved with getting the actual sot and the process to complete it, etc? Im really looking to get into it for more r&d and invention/innovation than running a gun shop. Just machine gun rental and selling to family/friends (and myself hopefully) at better cost than stores can cuz of overhead make it worth the cost to get the license. So I've been watching the channel for a while now, and didn't know the store is a one hour drive for me.. I might have to take a trip down to see what's up!

I live in a kommie state (CA), just a few miles south of an even more kommie city. However, when I found out that a brand new gun shop opened a few doors down from me, I was elated. Point being, they definitely still are giving out FFL's here.

All gun laws are an infringement, each and every gun law is a crime against humanity, and an act of war. We should have started fighting (kinetically) decades ago. Technically it's our parents fault for allowing all of this to happen, but you know what they say, if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.

I have a quick question (irrelevant to video) for you to whomever can answer. I understand when it comes to transporting a handgun in California it must remain in a locked container (not including the glove compartment and center console) when transporting. I've read the laws and it stated that a handgun can ONLY be transported for "lawful purposes ". That which I assume is to a gun range, training, and back home. I live in a bad neighborhood and I was wondering if for example I can take my handgun to a store or to the laundry mat keeping my handgun in the trunk in a locked container? Would that be considered legal? Or would I need a CCW for this. I do however have a FSC.

Can specific parts for machine guns be manufactured through an sot and serialized such as a lightning link? That way it could be utilized on multiple at platforms under an SOT? Quick question for an AR15 I haven't tested yet. Is it normal or okay for the bolt to be leaving pretty heavy scratches on the cases in the magazine when it travels back? The mags don't really look like they're seated too high. Haven't been able to find much about scratched cases other than feeding ramp problems. Thanks

Your explanation is much different than other ones. I’ll be getting my ffl and class 3, and my lawyer said I’m totally good doing this from my house as long as I’m strictly online and have secured storage, and I’m even next to a school, I guess I’ll see what happens with my lawyer. But according to them, I’ll be able to make machine guns, I obviously can’t transfer new machine guns, but I can transfer machine guns from pre86. There’s so damn many technicalities I had no choice but to hire a lawyer, I’ll also get the collectors permit and all the other stuff because I don’t want to get in trouble for something ridiculous and I don’t want to wait 12 months to receive a transferable tommy gun. But I wonder if I can still own transferable machine guns without he ffl. Or if I can still transfer it to myself after the ffl expires. I know I must surrender new machine guns if my ffl expires but is so much crap to remember I need a big old sign or something to remind me of it all

what part of "Shall not be infringed" does the Government not understand?

Until you get your first inspection by ATF Industry Operations, you have *no idea* how totally unforgiving the I-O-I agents can be. And you probably won't get inspected until 3 to 5 years into your license. That's a lot of time for little errors to build up. One of the things we got dinged for was for a *customer* writing "St Pete" instead of "Saint Petersburg" on one of the 4473s. I am serious - They nitpick everything. And we had helped ATF with several criminal investigations, so they knew us well and knew we are as serious as a tear in a spacesuit about compliance. Now, an I-O-I can't do anything more than make a referral to the Criminal Enforcement division, but that still puts your license in jeopardy. If the same mistakes come up at your next inspection, they *will* seek revocation of your license, which costs a ton of money to fight. Our I-O-I was such a ball buster at our inspection (and unreasonable) that the National Shooting Sports Foundation was so concerned that they flew a consultant down from Colorado to deal with the local ATF I-O-I's supervisor.

The one thing I do know about getting an FFL, if you want to do it out of your HOME, ZONING is the key, if allowed in that ZONE it will be good to go. I asked local ATF at a Gunshow about this.

Great point about full auto being useless! Its only for video games and movies. Semi auto is way better! You can hit 30 targets with 30 rounds. Instead of missing 1 target with 30 rounds! Even SAWs and LMGs are always recommended doing short bursts (2 or 3 shots).

I'm just going to do cerakote/gunkote. I will probably get parts in the mail from a customer wanting it cerakoted and assembled, would that require ITAR?

I also want to have my daughter and her husband involved. Is it possible to have more than one person on the FFL and SOT? By the way I already have CNC machines and tools and have been building guns for my own personal use for several years.

The IRS has nothing to do with sales tax. Each state has its own laws regarding sales and use tax. You will file sales tax returns with your state. Federal income tax is with the IRS. Your state may have its own state income tax. I strongly suggest any new business look to your local SCORE/SBA office for assistance. SCORE is free and consists of retired business people who will guide you. It is very important you understand how to properly collect and remit taxes. This is not a joke. You should also consult a tax professional regarding what entity you want to be.
