I’m applying for a gov’t job that talks about “a delegate”. Is this about roles delegated to me? Or me liaising with work that is outsourced by the department?

The website link for Carolyn Smith does not work. Quick DNS lookup also confirms that this domain is not active. Any insights?

thank you for your videos. can you do one about how having a degree at an australian university ties into getting APS job if you have studied 20 years ago, is it still relevant in your opinion- to talk the skills you acquired if you aren’t in a writing role all those years. thanks

Hi Axel, Some organisations ask for having a degree as a criteria, or a certain qualification as a criteria, and that's when you would state you have this. You need to keep in mind that you need to present examples that are relevant to the job, and highlight the criteria/skill they seek. Recency is much more convincing. So you may need to produce a more recent example/achievement than having done something 20 years ago.

@@careercarepackage thanks for your reply 🙏🏼. i thought that too about recency in my recent application. So focused on current work tasks, and omitted my educational background though it is in my resume. Then wondered if i’d sold myself short. thanks for your channel, learning a lot from it 👍👍👍

These ladies terrify me and make it sound so scary! I think this is why so many good applicants fail when they could have actually been amazing in the role.
