You know, out off all other channels, I fully understand and can relate to your videos. I am teaching myself OCR GCSE CS J277 with Python. I had to move from AQA to OCR when I moved school, but the timing made me have to teach myself this GCSE. Flashcards are the best because they are short, snappy and straight to the point. They help to build up your memory better.

I don’t know how many people will find this helpful, but this is what helped me. I had tutoring for Computer Science (my teacher was just useless, couldn’t learn a thing off her) so I received help from a very kind College student (who was doing A-Level Computer Science) and the one thing I learned is that you really have to go through the whole spec starting from scratch and just talking about it with someone (ideally teaching like a friend for example) is really useful. And finding useful ways to remember stuff (like I was explained bandwidth by using smarties going through a tube as an analogy). Again don’t know how useful this is, but it got me a Grade 5. But Computer Science isn’t a last minute revision subject. Don’t treat it as one.

@@DesiDeslei It certainly sounds like I had the same teacher that you have by the description alone; My teacher barely understood the subject either (she often relied upon the textbook, couldn’t teach coding and didn’t even use her own PowerPoints - hence why I needed tutoring) and I often debated to my friends (and still do) whether or not she even has a degree in Computer Science. However, the teacher I had went on maternity leave earlier in the school year, and as I’m doing A-Levels now, I really have no idea who is actually in the department anymore, so it depends on the name of your teacher to answer your question. (For the record, I went to Reepham High School)

I don't know about you guys, but in my school, we use Craig 'n' Dave. They have a KZfaq channel and they're really good and have a ton of videos we use for notes and stuff. They actually work with schools and also have small quizzes you can take to jog your memory. Hope this helped!

My igcse computer exam is in may and I’m stressed cos I don’t know anything from the practical..In my school our computer science teachers kept changing..now we have the 4th computer science teacher.we haven’t covered our syllabus because of this.our 4th computer science teacher honestly don’t even know the binary conversations when we asked her to solve also she don’t know the igcse concept so we don’t have anyone to help us..she even tried to help me in my mock exam so that we get a great mark in the exam..I refused and told her that it’s cheating ..however we have no other option and she is the only computer science teacher..I feel helpless.I WISH SOMEONE CAN HELP ME..

I had this huge flashcard pack that I would literally take everywhere. I did the flashcards from front to back, back to front and did flashcards randomly so I knew that I wasn't just memorising them because of the order. To ensure that I truly had it in my head, I did exam papers closed book to test my knowledge and act as a mini mock before the real exam. It's all about doing flashcards consistently and not just one day right before the exam.

Glad you found the video helpful! My best advice would be to practice rather than reading your textbook / revision guide. Answer as many exam questions you can and do past-paper questions. Practice scenarios for the programming section.

If you are good at organising and keeping things safe, paper. It's easier to draw tables and diagrams this way. If you struggle to do that and you find that too many flashcards are piling up, online

Search the past paper you want and the exam board e.g. GCSE AQA Computer Science Past papers, and then on the same page they should have the examiner report for that years exam paper.

Advice: Don't take A-Level computing. I do it at A-Level and its probably one of the worst decisions I've ever made - take it from me, its not worth it at all.
