For luxury brands: Preparation - KNOW the brand organically. Managers love candidates who are actually fans of, and well-versed on, the brand AND fashion overall, as opposed to the regurgitation of googled facts about the brand. Look the brand - dress similarly to their staff for more conservative brands (Hermes, Burberry), or in accordance to the brand's aesthetic for fashion forward designer brands (Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga). Own the interview - don't be arrogant or cocky, but carry yourself as if you already work there, as if they need you and not vice versa. Show them the relatable parts of your personality so that they can see how you'd fit on their team ad with their clientele. Focus on your accomplishments - What did you bring to the table in your last position that was a factor for success? DOn't be afraid to ask what void their looking to fill in terms of skillset and be prepared to insert your relevant skills. Clienteling: Be prepared to speak on your ability to clientele with specific successes, and your ability to drive repeat business. FOLLOW UP!!!: Send a thank you email with 24 hours. Mention a specific topic/speaking point from the interview as to not seem generic. Follow up in person after a week or more if it's a position you really want. Keep YOUR name at the front of their mind!

I am that person! I had a phone call with talent acquisition. After a week of waiting, sending an email and leaving 2 voicemails, I finally got a response back! I have an in person interview tomorrow! I really thought I wasn’t going to get called back. I just stopped anticipating it honestly and when I least expected it I got a response! I’m so excited but nervous 😫 I got a perfect black outfit very simple and muted but still my style and I’m gonna style it up with some simple jewelry. Thank you so much for this video!

I use to be a bartender at TGI Friday’s, and walked in an LV and applied, less then 4 days I was offered a job as Service Specialist at 21. Ironically, I have never been a fan of LV, but the experience opens more doors.

I worked at Michael Kors as a part time sales associate and I do believe that formerly working in both fashion retail and high end food service (as a server/food runner) helped convince the manager I was capable working for the store.

My daughter will be starting her position at LV as a Client Advisor remotely later in the month. Her interview process was about 2 weeks. It took about two months after applying for them to reach out though. She had about a year of experience working as a stylist at Windsor Stores. The interview process for her was pretty easy.

I had 2 small ring agendas that had clients phone numbers in them. The first one had my seasonal heavy spenders which they would spend over $50,000 a few times a year and then the other had the $5,000 every few months. That’s how I sold millions of dollars before social media.

I can definitely relate to this video! I applied to LV in October 2019, it was my first ever luxury brand application! I got called and did the interview virtually! I’ve been working in retail for 5 years, so I think that was what got me the interview! Unfortunately it didn’t go well and I’m still sad if I think about it, from then on I haven’t found any vacancies at my local boutique! I hope I will get another shot! 💪🏻

2010 I worked at Holiday Inn as a server and used to shop @ Dadeland MALL Miami Armani Exchange store and the store manager offered me a job since I was dressed good and would hold conversations with her . Fast forward 11 years . I worked for John Lobb a well known Shoe maker under the Hermes brand . I love retail and it open so many doors .

I have over 30 LV bags , bought them at the stores in New York and Boston, and the client advisors were rude and unfriendly, snooty and stuck up. The best experience was at the San Francisco stores. It was only when they saw my name in the registration list , that the attitude changed. I was younger at that time and I was label crazy . Now looking back I regret giving LV my hard earned money 🤷🏻‍♀️

Having over 30 LV bags proved why they showed you no respect. I would spend that much money on stock market to become a millionaire than wearing the same boring looking LV bags. Those bags are for travel and secretary work in office, not for red carpet as most ordinary women think. I use them on international travel simply because they are light weight and they're gifts from BF. Am not buying things that everyone carry to Costco

I met many LV SA not looking attractive, even some senior employees. It's about luck and how you impact on ppl you have contact with. Very important the connection, the aspect of your interaction with your interviewer and what you put in your resume. Success is not all about the look. Your employer want to make sure not only you able to do a job, but excel on your job.

i just got hired at gucci, and i was beyond shocked because i had no retail experience but i had years of customer service. but i had two back to back interviews with two different managers then got called two weeks later to do a third interview with another manager, and i was offered the job on the spot ☺️ i start next week!!

@@minxfarah364 so honestly i had about two interviews before.. i had one with the supervisor then one with a manager, then i didn’t hear for like two weeks, then i had a final with the assistant manager and was offered the job. but my advice, dress nice, and just be yourself, answer questions with honesty, but just be yourself, i giggle, talked to them and just got to know them, and the interaction and your personality will land you the job. :)

I have been applying every time I see an opening at my local boutique. I check weekly lol. My store opened about 2 years ago and we only have a couple luxury retailers here and I have been applying since Day 1. I can't get an interview with them and it's kind of frustrating. I submit an app and hear nothing at all. I recently got hired as a seasonal at Tiffany & Co this past holiday and I thought that would help me but I still didn't get a call. I will keep trying though.

The C.A. I work with was originally done thru the LV website. Does LV hire C.A. for online orders only or do they all work with a certain store? Mine is in California and I’m in Texas.

will they still consider you even though you don’t have experience in retail but still have experience in customer service? I work at chick fil a but I also volunteered at a hospital and a senior living care center for the memory impaired.

Thanks for the tips, I always got every job I ever applied for, even when there were 100's of applicants. I believed in myself, and have a fierce (unhealthy) work ethic. *Here is a thought: I wonder if LV hires "not attractive" people. Sad but real life lesson, if you were unfortunate enough to be born in the chamber pot.

But you did have retail experience. It wasn’t like you were working as a travel agent and walked into LV to apply with not retail experience at all. Lol! I doubt LV hires someone without a drop of retail experience. You had a retail foundation .... something for them to work with.

I'm still 16 and turning 17 this year and I'm interested in working at LV. Is it okay if I go to a National Institute of Fashion Technology after 12th grade? To apply for a stylist position at seoul?
