thank you for the great video! it boosted my confidence doing this trip. I submitted my documents this morning! I think I just got unlucky with the guy who was at the window. He asked for 400,000 baht bank proof (so bring everything you got everyone!) but they accepted my wife's bank book copies I thankfully had on me. I feel like the window person may have been nicer before this guy, he was very gruff 😅

You’re welcome! He is renowned for being “frosty” 🤣 You 100% don’t require 400k in the bank for single entry, only multiple entry. They shouldn’t be accepting your wife’s passbook either, but hey, this is Thailand 🤣 Good luck and hope it all goes smoothly!

Im doing this trip on Saturday and planning on applying for the non o based on thai child Monday morning. Also no 400k required for single entry i believe. Taking thai partner and child with me. She happens to be from Nakhon Phanom too. Your 90 day non o can also be extended by another 60 days in country for 1900 baht. It's called a family extension. Great video bro.

Yes, it certainly does exist haha. Pinkish certificate with blue and green border. I can't remember the name of it in Thai and I'm on holiday right now. If you take her documents and her surname is non-thai (yours), they may ask you for the certificate of name change that's needed to change name on passport and ID card.

Enjoying the saga Patrick. Slighly removed from exploing roads in Wales. I see you're still getting 'atacked' by animals on the roadside. From errant sheep to wild dogs now ;-) I did really love the lacy headcovers in the mini bus. Do they come as standard? You're living the dream. So now you can work but thinking what job to take up; obviosly it's got to be a cawl vendor or sheep manager. Yeah recreate a Welsh cafe in the heart of the city. Welshcakes the lot, it might even catch on. I'm actually quite intrigued as to what you do take up. And £2.33 for your passport back, Id be asking for a reciept - on second thoughts no you'd probably end up in the Mekong. Looks quite wide. A heady 2 degrees centigrade here in Pembrokeshire today. It managed to get to 1 degree centigrade over the Presili hills and on the North coast yesterday. You won't be missing that.

Hahaha…there’s all sorts of wildlife over here! The dogs are normally all mouth, but I’ve had a few close calls with them now! It was a Chinese bus from the 1980s. Still had Chinese signs etc. Got me to Laos in one piece haha God knows! Saw a vacancy at the embassy here the other day but need Thai language to level C1 and I’m not quite there yet. I’m taking it as it comes, doing some writing and planning a couple of trips. If I had the money I’d open a cafe/restaurant because it’s relatively simple to do here. In time we’re hoping to build on some land 😊 I’d actually love a couple of hours of that weather here haha AC is on full blast at 03:06AM 😂 Take care over there and thanks for commenting 👍🏻

Bangkok was tricky because they were asking for documents I physically couldn’t get without my wife flying to Phuket with me, so it was easier to do it in Laos. Price is the same but you have to pay for a visa into Laos. 👍🏻

Good luck Pat. Bangkok life certainly isn't for me. Hope it works out for you. Rent a bike at Hat yai and do the Malaysia to Singapore loop and back to Thailand. It's the most wicked journey.

Cheers mate…it’s not ideal but has to be done. Air here is horrid. We’ll be back to Phuket eventually. I haven’t got the cash for a trip like that and my visa is only single entry at the moment hahaha

@@PGTripsMedia I did nearly 3 years in Bangkok before Phuket. It was terrible back in 2004/2005 but I returned mid year 2023 and it was mayhem and ultra dirty air. Definitely not a bike friendly environment. I never rode a bike there and still wouldn't. As for the Singapore run it's actually cheap. Hotels is the main cost obviously but plenty of cheap ones on the road. Even India town in Singapore was $50-$60 a night jobs. Delicious roadside food as you pound out 300- 400km a day. I think I spent 13 or 14k baht in 10 days. Maybe one day. Get a job you bum.

You don’t need to show financial proof for single entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai.

@@PGTripsMediahi pat what about if you leave for a vacation internationally and need to purchase a reentry permit at the airport. Would the 400k requirement be triggered then? Thanks

Hi! You cannot get a re-entry permit for a single entry marriage visa. If you're intending to leave Thailand and return, you’d need a multi-entry, or you'd need to apply for an extension of stay based on marriage and then get a re-entry permit. 👍 Hope that's clear!! 🙏

No statement necessary for single entry Non-O. For the multiple entry, I believe you can show foreign funds, but please check. For the extension of stay based on marriage however, funds must be in Thai bank 2 months prior to application.
