In today’s video we’re taking a quick look at how a NON-European resident/citizen can get a seat on a UEFA B course. We’re looking at two Federations. The research that I did in this video is from a personal perspective because I also, want to get my UEFA License in the future. Enjoy!

Hey Ben, Thank you so much for the videos, I have done my research but could never figure out the right things to search. This video helped me out a lot in regards to understanding the steps needed to get to where I want to be, I am currently in college right now and looking to coach in the future as you said if in case professionally football does not work out. Hey Ben, thank you for uploading such informative videos. I plan on getting into coaching soon and ultimately obtain a UEFA B license for when I move back to my native country Turkey in the future. Hey, typically until you get to the B License, every license (Grassroots, D, C) are taught by your local organization. So for me, it would be CalSouth until the B License which is taught by the US Federation

Hey Ben I am Akash Deep Singh from India I am also facing same prob. I have done my AIFF D License and looking C license from India. So, does AIFF C license is equivalent to Scottish C??

Not entirely sure to be honest. My advice would be to email the Scottish FA and let them know about license and see if that meets all the requirements.

There are plenty of examples of coaches who never played professionally or at a high level. Domenico Tedesco finished top of his UEFA pro course and went on to manage Schalke within a couple of years. He never played professional football. The only benefit being a former professional might give you is that you can skip some courses maybe depending where you are. Anyway not playing professional should not discourage you Maurizio Sarri only started his coaching courses in his late 30s as far as I know.

@@numchacar youre right its expensive but a friend of mine went from no badges to Uefa B in just under 2 years and now works in Valencias academy.

Absolutely agree with this thread! The more experience you gain, the more contacts and relationships you build which will ultimately lead you to more roles. Some programs actually have license payment plans to help out. They will either pay for your license in total, pay for a portion or reimburse you for your license cost.

I am on my EUFA C License by Scottish FA . They are nice and easy people to deal with and I am lucky to start with them .. My question is how long the EUFA B License will take and how much it cost .. thanx

Uefa B License, from what I've researched is 4-5 months, with two 1 week visits and a developmental period in between. Cost varies

Depends on the organization and whether or not you're an EU Citizen. The Scottish Uefa B runs £1600 (Intro) / £660 (Assessment) which converted to USD by google comes out to $2,204.01(Intro) and $909.08 (Assessment) for a total of $3,113.09. For comparison, the USSF B License comes out to $3,000.

Can you just start from scratch with the Scottish FA? (Only have grassroots USSF CERTS) As in starting with their intro course and then go on on to 1.1 course and then so on and so forth? From their website it now says international available for C License.

so i have license D in USA do you think i can apply for UEFA C license in Scottish ? or you recommend to finish license C in USA and go uefa b in scottish after ?

You can always try. However, the minimum license Scotland is a Scottish level II which I believe translates to a c license for Ussf. The reality is that it’s primarily based off of equivalence in terms of course and experience. I would wait because when you get a c you also get a lot more experience
