IF the person has a pronounced stomach then the waist will be under it. You can measure the actual crotch (front and back) and double check with the formula, it should be the same. Regardless of size of person.

Thank you for dis video but I don't think you are completely correct if you are dividing ur waist into 4 to get ur crotch, how about sewing for a man with 58 waist bcos I know of one, how den do you divide it to get the crutch ?

A man of waist 58? I haven't come across that before, so I can't talk about that. But am sure that person will never try to wear a trouser with band again.

I have sewed trouser for such person and even though u haven't come across such person, use d same calculation or formula u just used and u will see why I said ur calculations is not completely correct, I agree dere are formulas but sometimes we use our discretions bcos using d same formula for a smaller person might not work for a very big person, D man's body fitting is 68 for you to understand better what I'm saying

@@emekaogbonna9712 Ok, a 58 waist based on the formula will give you a 14.5 inch "front" crotch. You add 1, or 2 inches to that to get your crotch line. It is divided by 4 because you have 4 panels for a pair of pants. You can always measure with your tape measure the actual crotch but be sure to measure the front crotch and the back crotch. They will be different depending on the man's length of his legs and where he wears his belt.
