Just so you know, if you kill the dragon in Melve you can get both the Mystic Spearhand and Fighter Skills instantly. I did this by shooting the dragon with the ballista at the top of the tower in town. This also instantly maxed Ulrika's affinity instantly as well, so I really recommend it

This didn't work for me. I killed the dragon very quickly and easily but still have yet to receive the fighter and Mystic Spearhand skills.

Yeah. You also get the really great weapon early from the Drake corpse

and if you dont collect it right there and then the game fucking bugs out permanently. im in the unmarred world with him at max affinity and he still wont give it to me despite being max affinity.

Useful info. Wish I’d known about the wait a whole day in between giving gives, that bloody NPC shop keeper in Battal happily accepted nearly half my inventory and still kept warning me not to rob his bloody shop! 😂

8:23 - You can actually get this early game @ the same time you unlock the vocation. When the dragon is attacking Melve, instead of fighting it you need to climb the tower with the ballista (giant arrow shooting machine) and shoot it at the dragon 2 or 3 times. Sigurd will give you the ultimate ability at the same time you unlock the vocation. You will also get one of the best spears in the game when you kill the dragon (not sure if this is a guaranteed drop or not).

Didn’t worked for me killed the dragon, got the spear and Vocation but not the Skill. Now he is in his house in Melve just talks emo stuff. I also can’t give him gifts and the dragon won’t show up at the tower.

Thank you for the video. Most of the game time is actually finding out how things work, what the game wants from you and what to do. If it had a proper guidance system it would be actually pretty short.

So Mythic Spearhand, i killed the dragon in my first playthrough and no skill. Im in NG+ after figuring how to get it and killed the dragon in Melve and got no skill. Killed the dragon on the bottom left of the map and he wasnt there. Went to the hut and he wong give me anything nor can i gift him. He has the same dialog as if i just met him in Marve. Any idea of what to do?

A lot depends on how you take on quests for example to get the soldiers code you need to have completed scaly invaders side quest finished either monster culling , disa plot, or caged magistrate, also you needed to fend off the dragon in melve only then when you speak to lennart he will hand it over. That’s what I did.

I need help. Ive been trying to get celestial pean for a couple of hours and ive already finished trysha's quest but the grandma still won't give it to me. I tried giving her gifts or waiting for an escort quest but i never got it.

My first playthrough I got riotous fury after defeating the dragon. But I also did the quest in melve before leaving for Venworth at night, killing the lizard den. I never killed the dragon and didn’t do his quest for ulrika. He gave it to me right after the dragon fight lol

So, I'm doing my NG+ and I'm not getting the thief skills. First time running though I think is sold the scrolls not knowing what they where and im not getting on this second play though. Is there a place to get sold stuff back or a work around? Thanks!

Thanks for not saying that if you do the Trysha quest before you can’t get the maelstorm skill from Myrdinn since you need the same greimore for both quests!

my only issue with Maister teachings is that not all of them have 2. It would've been even better if each vocation had 2 not just Thief and Sorc

PSA: if you missed readvent of calamity you have NOT missed the soldiers code fighter maister skill. Simply keep giving lennart goblin horns or slate colored horns and eventually he’ll come up to you and give it to yoi

Newt Liquor guy for Warfarer class guy disappeared after he met me in Bakbattahl then i bought the 300,000 dollar house. it teleported me to my new cavemanor and he was just gone. (Bug?) it then told me i failed the quest minutes later and he was nowhere to be found. will he come back or is that gone is NG+?

I got the Fighter skill super early on, I hadn't even really done anything of note and he just gave it to me. no idea how or why, just buggy I guess.

Yeah the dragon fled to an area close to the Medusa's lair and he is there. He will ask you to help him kill it and if you do, you get the skill, and a really good spear called fools lament

Talking about affinity, does somebody managed to successfuly get high affinity with Justinn? I gave him a lot of presents for about 15 in game days and he still have zero clue about me while other guardsman Joshua or so is in love with me with just 1 present at all. Any clues how to raise affinity with Justinn?

I completed Sigurds quest, but he died during it so i had to res him, and he acknowledged the quest was complete but didnt reward me with the maister skill, so i gifted him 1 wyrmslife crystal and he gave it to me then.

I think I messed up the mage one. I killed Trysha but revived her with the wakestone. She gave me meteoron, but her granny did not give me the mage skill.

Fun fact you give them gifts as soon as you’ve done a quest and get it that way without the escort stuff.

I am on my second playthrough in New game plus. Trying to get Soldiers code and I have max affinity and did the escourt quest to the statue and have the vocation unlocked. I still can't get him to drop this. I also checked Ibrams Shop it's not there either. Might have to start a new game just to get this achievement for all meister skills.

Yes, you can. I got magik archer skill after I took care of the elves after the big change. I hadn’t even been to their city or spoken to a single elf in my first play-through until after the big change.

You can get Mystic spearhead skill early along with a good spear early. You just need to kill dragon attacking Melve with ballista . Also video not mentions that both NPC for sorcerer skills require same tomes. And you might luck yourself out of one of them if you will not make copies of it. Give Trisha real ones.

you need to visit him at his childhood home in Battahl. it's not far from the checkpoint gate. Chances are he'll invite you in for tea and give you the scroll immediately, but if not, doing his escort quest should trigger the drop

I've completed the Archer quests but it doesn't allow me to gift things to the elder. And he hasn't given me the ability. I've tried going back after waiting a few days, but so far nothing.

You have to have the vocation unlocked on either you or your pawn for the meister skills to be learnable via tome. So buy the Vocation for discipline.

You can speak to Myrddin and once he finds out you taught Trysha spells, it will reveal a dialogue option to make it up to him. If you rest for a day and then visit him while having the turquoise ring in your inventory (apparently it doesn’t need to be equipped) he says he’ll think about it and then after resting another day you should be able to get his rewards. This is from a comment on my spellbound guide, so I haven’t tested this personally.

Blades of pyre isnt a maister skill. You can tell by the fact it doesnt have a gold border, but it's still only able to be learned by tome

That is correct. However it did not make sense to leave it out since it comes from the same quest as he other one and it drops from a tome. It was just easier to call it one for the sake of the video.

I’m wondering if Blades of the Pyre is needed for the trophy/achievement related to getting all of them. Because I just discovered today I’m locked out of getting it since the NPC in the Nameless Village won’t talk to me anymore

I never really enjoyed the warriors master skill. I prefer indomitable lash or whatever it is, along with the speed buff from my mage. I also dont run celestial paean on my mage, i just spam stamina consumables.

I just don't know about this. I got 2 thief meister skills pretty easily, and I haven't even touched the thief. Talked to one person in the unnamed village, and he just gave me one. First time meeting the dude, and gots it. Didnt do a quest for him, nor gave any gift.

those two are definetely exceptions to the rule, its aalso propably becuse one of the skill is "fake" so that you need the other real one and its propably a reward for finding it

@@leomahammid2404 you dont have to be sorcerer i got in as Warrior. Some people reported its bugged if you wear the enhanced noble Outfit. So try visiting with unupgraded noble clothes @momintim

Yeah sigurd never gave me the scroll. i did everything else. maxed affinity the lot. still wont give me the scroll. i did not get it by mistake and sell it or anything foolish like that. its just unattainable for me

I'm having the same problem. I killed the dragon at Dragonbreath and went back to Harve, he didn't give it to me then so I maxed out his affinity and he still won't give it to me

You can get sigurds in melve if you kill the diseased dragon with the balista at the back of the town

I killed the dragon, talked to him, didnt know I needed to gift, got nothing, went back to tower he was there fighting another dragon. helped him kill that, now idk where he is, I checked his house on the shore any ideas? yes hes not dead

I killed so many dragons, I killed the Melve one, one on the tower. At this point I’m just killing drakes for no reason

@nickphelps6317 I don't know what to do either. I found him at the tower and started fighting the dragon. I died, went back but he wasn't there this time so I killed the dragon. Found Sigurd in Bakbattal, who asked me to escort him halfway across the map. Halfway through he disappeared. Now I can't find him anywhere

Out of all the things I've defended this game over, this is it. I wont defend a game unless it's Dark Souls or Morrowind that gives absolutely no direction. Dragon's Dogma 1 is superior, we all know it, but this is just stupid to have master quests with random NPCs thrown about that do not guarantee the skill without a secret in game mechanic that doesn't work half of the time.
