Baby waking up after 45 minutes - SOLUTIONS!
Napping for babies under 6 months old can often be unpredictable. They can often have short naps.
It’s really not a problem unless you notice that your baby is really crabby, fussy, clingy and overtired. If he’s crying quite a lot and just seems unhappy.
Baby Sleep Cycles
If your baby’s not like that, I wouldn’t worry too much about 45-minute naps. Baby sleep cycles are anywhere from 40-50 minutes. The reason your baby consistently wakes after 45 minutes is because she’s finished a sleep cycle. As she gets older, she will develop the ability to link several sleep cycles together, resulting in a really long sleep period.
You may have a baby who wakes up really, really often, every night. Sometimes, every 45 minutes! Parents are so confused as to why their baby wakes every 45 minutes. The reason is because she’s finishing a sleep cycle.
For some babies, it’s really hard for them to finish a sleep cycle and start a new one. Often, they wake up fully between sleep cycles.
Usually, these babies are assisted to fall asleep. They are nursed, rocked or held to sleep. Sometimes they use a pacifier. So what happens when they are between sleep cycles and they wake up, is that they need that sleep prop again. They need the pacifier, or the rocking, or to nurse.
The Key to Teaching Babies to Link Sleep Cycles
The key to teaching your baby to link their sleep cycles is to teach them to fall asleep on their own. That’s what I do with parents in my programs - in 21 Days to Peace and Quiet and in my Getting Downtime in the Daytime napping program.
I show parents how to teach their babies to fall asleep on their own.
The logic is like this: Your baby falls asleep with a pacifier in her mouth. When she wakes up 45 minutes later and doesn’t have her pacifier, she’s going to need you to come in and give it to her if she’s too young to put it in by herself.
If you nurse your baby to sleep, when she wakes up and she’s not nursing, she’s not in the same environment as when she fell asleep. She doesn’t know how to fall back asleep on her own now that she’s woken up in between sleep cycles.
We work to slowly and gradually teach your baby to fall asleep on her own. So that she can then link those sleep cycles.
She will wake up and think, “Okay, I’m in my crib. My white noise is going. I’ve got my sleep sack on. Nothing has changed about this environment, and I know how to fall back asleep because I’ll just to exactly what I did when I fell asleep for this nap.”
I don’t think you should push her at this age. There are certainly things you can do first. I don’t recommend that you start working on that straight away, because that can be too many steps ahead for your baby. 4 months can be too early for some babies.
For 5/6 Month Old Babies
For other parents, if your baby is 5/6 months or older and is continually waking throughout the night, what we need to do is to get them falling asleep on their own. If you know that your baby is waking too often and that they don’t need to feed again, this is what you do.
Then they will sleep longer periods at night. They will only wake and call out for you when they truly need you - if they’re hungry, or cold, or have genuine needs.
That’s what we work to have you do in the program.

Hello! I LOVE your channel. So informative and much more neutral, as far as sleep training, than a lot of the other channels. I’m a bit overwhelmed. My sons waking came around 3.5 months as he got sick and then hit the 4 Month sleep regression. Naturally, I would feed him when he woke up, but now at 5 months his wakes are 6-10 times at night. I know this is either reverse cycling or sleep association or both. How can I begin reversing this? Thanks for all of your knowledge. It’s gotten me through some rough nights.

Hello Jaclyn, Thank you so much for your kind words! It is SO exhausting when our LO's are up so much in the middle of the night. The good news is that once your LO turns 5 months old, she is developmentally ready to learn how to fall asleep independently. This is truly the best way to ensure your LO sleeps longer stretches. We can definitely help you get your LO’s sleep on track and get your entire family sleeping better! We can provide the best support to your family in our 21 Days to Peace & Quiet program. In this program we offer 4 step-by-step sleep training methods. You choose the one that feels best for your LO. We have super gentle & gradual all the way to quick & efficient. Each step of the way you get advice based on your baby’s developmental stage, energy levels, and temperament. One of our package options include personalized support and I find this to be so beneficial during the sleep training journey! Jilly and members of our support team answer questions 5 days a week in our private Slack group and we host 2-3 Zoom calls per week! When an infant suffers from colic, warm its tummy with a warm towel, a warm iron-ironed diaper, a small hot water bottle or a cold-hot compress available at the pharmacy (such compresses are applied to the clothes). Some little ones find relief in a warm bath. Massage of the tummy in circular movements along the large intestine can also be very helpful. Start under the ribs on the right side of the baby's tummy and then left, down, right and back up. Over and over again.

Hi, Any book recommendation for understanding baby's circadian rhythm and weaning off sleep props? My LO is 5 months old and I nurse him to sleep. I know this is counter intuitive but I'm scared to stop nursing him to sleep since it takes him long hours to go to sleep on his own and I'm worried about him not getting enough sleep. Thank you!

Hello :) my baby naps great . Follow the wake time and he sleeps not more than 2 hours day time. Eats more than enough during the day, his weight gain is above average, however he wakes up every 2 hours even at night to eat. He would cry really loud if he doesnt get milk asap. I try soothing carry him rock him, pacifier but he wont keep quiet until he is fed. He can fall asleep by himself most of the time, white noise dark room , swaddled if he is tired. I dont know how do I get him sleep through the night. He has a big appetite. 10 weeks old

Hi there mama, sorry just saw that you had another question. I know you're struggling, but at this age it's rare for a baby to sleep through the night. Most babies need 2-3 feeds at night. So what would you recommend for a 12 month old who has no problem sleeping through the night but will only taken 2 40 min naps about 3-4 hours apart. I have tried everything.. spacing naps closer/ further apart/ the 1 hour crib rule, ect. He will just scream the entire hour after waking up after 30 min of slee.. I am at a loss. I’m wondering if he needs 1 nap per day?

Hello! Does your LO fall asleep independently for naps? This often helps. Make sure the room is blacked out and white noise is going the whole time. There is a regression around 12 months which can cause some challenges with naps. Most babies aren't ready for 1 nap until around 15 months. Check out our 12 month old guide here! Hi. My now 6 month old baby is "sleep trained" from 4 months and falls asleep on her own in her crib for both bed time and nap time. I have two questions please. 1. Why does she always cry before going to sleep for her day time naps? She has done this ever since. Cries / Moans for 5-10 minutes before napping. 2. Still wakes up 30-45 minutes after her nap? Will she eventually nap for longer? Her night time is ok. She falls asleep on her own with no fuss and fight though she has 1 or 2 night wakings. Hope this goes away too and she sleeps through as we have now let her cry it out at night as I know she has the ability to sleep 11-12 hours in a row. Thanks in advance. Really hope her crying subsides and she naps for longer. Look forward to your responses.

Hi! My baby is 1 month old and she’s a having a trouble with sleeping in day time. She literally wakes up every 10 minutes, and her sleep is very light (her eyes are moving etc). She sleeps ok in night time, wakes up every 2-3 hours for nursing. I can’t figure out what’s wrong. It doesn’t look like she has colic. I would really appreciate if you share your thoughts.

I know this is an old video, but I figured I would ask my question anyway. My daughter, who is 6 months old, sleeps great at night. Goes down around 7:30 and wakes once to eat around 5 then goes back to sleep until 7:30. I do rock her but only until she is drowsy then put her in her crib. During the day she is a bad napper. She will nap for about 26 minutes then wake up crying. I fallow the same routine for naps as I do for bed time. The room is also set up the same. Fan on black out shades and swaddle. How can I help improve her naps?

Hi, my baby girl is 15 weeks old. I’m trying to get her in to a routine at night. I take her up at 8pm read to her then nurse her, lately I have been trying not to let her completely fall asleep nursing so I can put her down in her crib while she’s a little wake. I leave on white noise and tap her and she falls asleep. Then I go and tuck my older boys into bed but by the time I’m done with them she’s awake again😫 and then very difficult to get her back to sleep and I end up giving up and and we both go into my bed, she falls asleep nursing and that’s the end of my night! I don’t mind co sleeping in fact that’s the only way I end up getting any sleep plus she sleeps about 5-6 hours in a stretch which is great. But what I’m confused about is when she wakes for a feed in the morning around 6:30 am I feed her and put her in her crib and get ready to do school runs she sleeps in her crib for a good couple of hours. But at night why does she wake every half an hour when I put her in her crib?

Hi, I hope you answer my questions:)!! So my baby is 4 months and I’m still really struggling to get him to sleep at night and take long naps. He wakes up for naps after 30-40 minutes. The thing is he has no problem falling asleep on his own. I put him down awake but he can’t resettle himself and go back to sleep. If I go in and help him with a pacifier, he wakes again after 15 minutes or so. What do I do!? Also at night, how many night feedings should he have at this age? He used to sleep for 5 hours, but recently he’s waking all through the night and crying. Maybe a sleep regression? Either way he’s always slept okay for the first half of the night, but the second half he constantly wakes up. I think he just wants to be held? It’s at the point where I’m like should I just let him cry and ignore him because nothing works. Same for naps. Idk what to do. I feel like I’ve read and tried a lot and it’s not working

hi Alyssa! Such great questions! OK. so your little one is only 4 months. This means that they don't have a whole lot of structure to their sleep just yet. Don't worry so much about how long the naps but focus more on the awake time in between. For this age, the awake time between naps should be 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This means baby should have 3-5 naps per day. Your baby sounds like a 4-5 nap kind of baby. Bedtime for 4 months should be between 7:00 and 8:30pm which will depend on when that last nap ends. Throughout the night you should expect baby to sleep a little more soundly, waking up for 1-2 night feeds unless your baby is underweight or has another concern from your pediatrician about nutrition intake, so speak with your pediatrician before cutting down night feeds too much. At this age, babies are not developmentally ready for sleep training. You can help them to resettle and help create an environment that is conducive to sleep but other than that you just have to play by the babies rules until about 5 or 6 months when they are ready for sleep training. It also sounds like your LO is definitely going through the 4 month sleep regression. This is the absolute worst of the sleep regressions. I am going to link an article to this so that you can read up on that. But I promise it will pass!! Continue to help your LO get as much sleep as possible through whatever means necessary such as rocking, replacing the pacifier, going for walks in the stroller, patting her, creating a peaceful sleeping environment (check out our free guide and linked Exhausted Moms Starter Kit for more details on that). This regression will pass and once she is 5-6 months she will be ready for sleep training. We have a wonderful sleep training program that offers 4 different methods so that each parent can find the one that fits them. The methods are: Minimal Tears, Pick up Put Down, Chair Method and Check in Method (the method closest to cry it out but not cry it out). I used this program for my twins when they were 7 months old and it changed my life! finally I could sleep through the night and they could too! Sleeping is most important. Depending on the age, the child should sleep daily: Newborn babies up to 20 hours If they are 0-12 months - 15-18 hours 1-3 years - 12-14 hours 3-6 years - 11-12 hours 6-12 years - 10-11 hours 8-9 hours - over 12 (some children need a lot more sleep during adolescence) Healthy sleep is most important either for Children and adults to function normally. While children are asleep they improve their memory and remember more what they learned during the day. They process information and emotions. Healthy sleep has regenerative benefits and reduces the risk of overweight and obesity.

Hello my baby is 10mths old and is unfortunately still fed to sleep. She wakes after her first cycle during her daytime naps and if I try to ignore her or just do anything but give her the boob she will wake fully and won't go back to nap. This means she is still a little grumpy. What should I do?
@Babysleepmadesimple
@Babysleepmadesimple 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Hannah! Breastfeeding to sleep is very common and completely normal. It’s not a problem, until it “becomes a problem” and you’re having to get up and feed your baby back to sleep many times at night. Once your baby reaches 5-6 months, it’s possible to teach them to self-settle to sleep. THIS will lead to long stretches of sleep at night, and STTN when your baby is developmentally ready. It won't necessarily be "easy" in that your little one may get upset learning a new way of falling asleep, BUT a few days of teaching independent sleep habits will lead to YEARS of peaceful and happy sleep for everyone. There are several ways of teaching your LO a new way of falling asleep. The best approach will depend on your LO’s temperament and your parenting preferences. This is what we help parents do everyday in the program, 21 Days to Peace & Quiet. You are welcome to join our step-by-step program here: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/21-days-to-peace-quiet-program Hope this helps

I would check with your child's doctor but most babies this age are able to go without any night feeds. She may be so restless at night because she doesn't know how to self-settle. Our program can help guide you through teaching your LO how to do this. In this program we offer 4 step-by-step sleep training methods. You choose the one that feels best for your LO. We have super gentle & gradual all the way to quick & efficient. Each step of the way you get advice based on your baby’s developmental stage, energy levels, and temperament. Hi! Jilly has a guide on common 1 yr old sleep problems and tips on how to handle them. I will link that below: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/1-year-old-sleep-tips-toddler#point5 You can start by implementing the tips on this guide for a week and with consistency, you should be able to see improvement.Our program has 4 step-by-step methods that walk you through teaching your baby how to settle to sleep on their own, which will show them how to resettle during night wakings too. It also covers reducing and fully weaning off night feeds. With 3 of the methods you stay with your baby as you teach them to sleep better. You don't have to leave the room if you don't want to. And you can choose a slower, more gradual method to reduce your baby's resistance, fussing and crying. We can't promise "no tears" but you can work to minimize baby's resistance. We also accommodate for your baby's temperament too. Each lesson has tips on tweaking the steps to suit your baby's energy levels, sensitivity and adaptability. I'm confident we can get you and your baby sleeping great. Happy to answer any other questions you have about the program. Hello i have the same problem with my 4month old baby and she keeps on waking up like this all night. I know what is the problem and I can’t fix it. She had GERD and reflux and has to be in an upright position for 30 minutes after each meal (doctor’s recommendation). So most of the time she falls asleep in my arms especially at night. Any other tip or method i can use to let stretch her sleeping hours at night?

Hi Nancy! Sorry to hear that! I'd always check with your pediatrician before implementing any sleep training methods. Around 4 months, there is often a sleep regression, you could be starting to feel the impact of developmental changes in your LO which can show as sleep disruption. The biggest sign of a regression is a drastic change in sleep, eating habits, developmental leaps physically and mentally and over all mood. I would follow the 4 month old sleep guide tips. Implement them for 2 weeks and you should see improvement. 4 MONTH SLEEP GUIDE: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/4-month-old-not-sleeping 4 MONTH SLEEP REGRESSION: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/4-month-sleep-regression-tips-video Also starting 5 months, you can begin "formal sleep training" gently & with the permission of your doctor. Our program, 21 Days to Peace & Quiet. We offer 4 different step-by-step methods for you to choose from (from super gentle & gradual to quick & efficient.) Each step of the way you get advice based on your baby’s developmental stage, energy levels, and temperament. My baby is the same age and was doing the same thing. I was exhausted and not getting anything done around the house. He was defined overtired. Try this on the first nap of the day. See sleepy signs, swaddle, dark room, white noise, put him in crib when his/her eyes are heavy but awake, step out. Baby will wake up of course. Wait 5 min. Go back in, hand on chest rocking from side to side to make babies head jiggle back and forth (1-2min) while saying SHHHHHH kind of loudly. Leave room and repeat until baby stays asleep. Took me 6 times and 30 min the first time but baby slept for 50 minutes and repeated all day. He slept through the night for the first time ever that night.

My baby was always a really great napper, from the day we brought him home until now (he’s about 10 weeks old) now he only naps for 30-45 min unless I’m baby wearing him or he’s in the stroller! Why was he able to “link cycles” before and now he’s not?
@Babysleepmadesimple
@Babysleepmadesimple 2 жыл бұрын
He was linking cycles before but only because he wasn't really aware of the cycles! His sleep is now developing to be more adult-like and he will become more aware of the sleep cycles and the transitions between them becoming lighter and more reliant on how he got to sleep in the first place in order to link the sleep cycle. At this age I would be hands on with resettling between sleep cycles. Clare, BSMS Support Team

Hi Jilly My baby is 4 months old. She wakes up around 7 am and sleeps for appox. 4 hours during the day in 4 naps. She puts herself to sleep for 2-4 of the naps but only her first nap lasts longer than 45 minutes. I put her to bed around 7 pm after an awake time of 1.5 hrs. We do a night time routine and she is fairly good at putting herself to sleep but she always wakes up screaming 45 minutes later and wants to nurse or be awake. Her bedtime used to be later and I moved it earlier around 3 days ago to try to help with the issue but there hasnt been any improvement. Do you have any thoughts on what could be going on? Thanks! Grace
@Babysleepmadesimple
@Babysleepmadesimple 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Grace, Congratulations on your new baby! It sounds like you have a good sleep groove going- well done! Many 4 month olds won't be able to have 12 hours of night sleep just yet. 9-11 hours is more typical for their age. If your baby is repeatedly waking 45 mins after bedtime and wants to be awake, it's probably a sign that bedtime was a bit early. Awake times for her age can be 1-2.5 hours so perhaps shorter awake times in the morning and longer ones in the afternoon? And if you can settle her into a bedtime of 8 pm or later she may sleep more solidly. That's great that she falls asleep on her own sometimes! If you can keep this habit going, she'll start sleeping longer for naps soon and eventually sleep through the night when she's developmentally ready (usually between 6-9 months.) Here are some other guides for 4 month old babies: 4 month baby sleep tips: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edF5Z9qpy87JnnU.html 4 month sleep regression: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/4-month-sleep-regression-tips-video Here's my free guide that helps you set your baby up to sleep all night: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/exhausted-moms-survival-kit I hope this helps! Hi Jilly! Thanks for your quick reply! That is helpful. I moved her bedtime up originally because she was waking after 45 minutes even when she went to bed at 9 so I wondered if she was over tired. Maybe ill move her bedtime back a little bit and see if that helps. Thanks again! Grace

Hi, first I'd like to say I really love your Chanel and I would like to know if you have any videos on how to get your baby sleep back on track after they are sick. My 3 month old was sleeping great at night, only waking up once but when he got a cold he was Waking up 4 or more times (we didn't feed him every time just gave him back his pacifier) and now the cold is gone but the sleeping periods stayed pretty much the same.

@Babysleepmadesimple 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Diana! Sorry to hear that your LO has been sick! It is completely normal for sleep to be off the rails when you hit a cold etc. Also your LO is still very young, so sleep can be very unpredictable in general. Here is Jilly's video on sickness: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rLCPeMSUsrO4fZc.html The first three months of a baby's life are called the "fourth trimester" because it's the transitional period between the safe environment of the womb and this world. So, you baby sleeps in your arms because that's where he feels safe. I would recommend starting with our age base sleep guide which will cover all the basics and help manage expectations at this stage. Implement the guide for 2 weeks straight and you should see improvements. www.babysleepmadesimple.com/3-month-old-sleep-problems Make sure you follow us on FB for Lives and additional seasonal tips :) Hope this helps! / Leena, BSMS Support Team

Hi there, Thank you so much for reaching out to us! It is SO exhausting to try and get your LO to fall asleep. I have two girls of my own and I remember constantly rocking or nursing to get them to sleep. Your little one needs the rest to work on those milestones the next day, and you need the rest to feel like you can conquer the next day! The great news is that your LO is 8 months old and now able to fall asleep independently! If your LO is currently falling asleep using your support, then this means she needs your help every time she wakes in the middle of the night. We want her to learn how to fall asleep all on her own and then she can sleep 11-12 hours at night (yes, it is going to happen)! I know how stressful it can be to try and figure out baby sleep! This is why we created the 21 Days to Peace and Quiet program. We have created a step-by-step program to take the guessing game out of it for parents. We will teach you the strategies to use to teach your LO to fall asleep independently at bedtime. When your LO can do this, then you will see those night wakings significantly decrease! Your entire family will be sleeping better in no time. CLICK HERE to learn more-->www.babysleepmadesimple.com/baby-sleep-consultant Reach out if you have any questions! My LO is almost 5month old now, she is exclusively breastfed on demand. She feeds only for 5mins and wants to play or sleep. She gets over excited for everything and cant fall asleep on her own. She naps only for 30mins and needed to be nursed to sleep little longer or will be super tired by afternoon and go to bed early. Help me!! How to deal with this kind of baby?

My baby was sleeping through the night by 6 weeks. I always put her down awake and allow her to fall asleep on her own. Around 4 months she started waking up every hour or two between midnight and 7 am. She’s now 5.5 months and I’m SO TIRED. She doesn’t want to nurse when she wakes up, she just wants to cuddle and calm down and then go back to bed. I really am so lost at what I should do.

Hi Kristin, It's SO common for sleep issues to arise at 4 months. There's a big sleep regression at that age due to brain development. The good news is that at 5 months, we can begin sleep training and get babies falling asleep on their own (again) and sleeping long stretches at night (again.) It's not you or your baby's fault. She just needs a sleep training "tune up." If you find that it's harder this time around to get her to self-settle, I can help you in my sleep training program. I have several step-by-step methods to choose from based on baby's age, temperament and also your parenting style. Here's more info on the program: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/21-days-to-peace-quiet-program Don't lose hope! You can get her STTN again. Good luck, Jilly

Hello, I noticed my 8 month baby cousin wakes up every 15 minutes when my aunt tries to put her down for a nap during the day. She usually is fully awake when she does this and I don’t think it’s normal. I doubt she has 3 naps throughout the day and I don’t think her parents are aware. My aunt usually breastfeeds her to get her to sleep or rocks her in her arms but there are some instances when those don’t work. I believe my baby cousin has relied heavily on being in someone’s arms to sleep which leads to her having social anxiety since she gets fussy when her moms not around. What can I do to help her sleep longer?

It is SO exhausting when our LO's are up all night. I have two girls of my own 🙂 How old is your niece? If your niece is younger than 5 months, then she may be up a lot in the middle of the night for feedings. However, there are still so many strategies that can be implemented to help improve sleep for newborns! We discuss all of these strategies on Zoom! CLICK HERE to learn more about our private consultations-->www.babysleepmadesimple.com/private-consultation If your niece is older than 5 months, then yay! She is now developmentally ready to learn how to fall asleep independently and this is the key to sleeping longer stretches at night. I also know how stressful it can be to try and figure out baby sleep! Click HERE to learn more about our sleep program-->www.babysleepmadesimple.com/21-days-to-peace-and-quiet-personal-support You can even gift the program :) Reach out if you have any questions! Hi!! My LO just turned one. I am trying to sleep train him using pickup putdown method. I put him down and he cries hysterically. I continue to put him down for a few minutes and i sit next to his crib. I start to sing a lullaby and he lies down on his belly and whimpers. He stops fussing if i pat him on the back ever so slightly. Slowly i stop patting and continue to sing. As he drifts off, i stop patting and later the singing. If he wakesup in the middle of the night, I wait for a few minutes to see if he settles down. If he doesn't, i go in and sing the song and he drifts right back. Is singing considered a sleep association?
@Babysleepmadesimple
@Babysleepmadesimple 4 жыл бұрын
Hello! A sleep association is anything that your LO needs to fall asleep. We often suggest a lullaby when you are putting your LO down to sleep to create a calming atmosphere, but then I wouldn't continue singing later in the night. You don't want it to become a habit that your LO needs in order to fall back asleep. Continue with your pick up put down method steps and your LO will learn how to fall asleep independently and self soothe in the middle of the night! Alyssa, BSMS Support Team

Hi Linh, I have a few resources for you. The 4th month can be challenging because during this month your baby goes through a BIG brain development and growth spurt- both of which can affect sleep. These developments can lead to a sleep regression in some babies. Here's more info on that: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/4-month-sleep-regression-tips-video Here's a video that talks about naps for 4 months old- what you can expect & how you can help baby nap longer: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g9eTodCjt5ybYp8.html Feeding your baby to sleep can make her wake often at night, take short naps and wake early in the morning. I recommend that you teach your baby how to fall asleep on her own when she's 5 months (and finished with the 4 month sleep regression.) I help parents do this in my program, 21 Days to Peace & Quiet. You can find out more info on it here: www.babysleepmadesimple.com/programs-2 I hope this advice helps! Hello Kevin, congrats on your little one. Your baby is very young and newborn sleep can be really unpredictable. Your newborn’s body clock hasn’t developed, so he doesn’t understand the difference between day and night yet. It’s also normal for some of his sleeps to be long, and others really short. At this age what's important is for babies to sleep often. It doesn't matter how long. My newborn sleep guide lets you know all the details about newborn sleep habits, what to expect and has all the essential tips & tricks to get your newborn baby sleeping well, day and night. www.babysleepmadesimple.com/newborn-sleep-schedule You can also check out my 2 month old sleep guide so that you'll be prepared for the "next step": www.babysleepmadesimple.com/how-to-help-2-month-old-baby-sleep-well

Hello, Thank you so much for reaching out to us! It can be SO exhausting when our LO's need our support to fall back asleep all night long. I am a mom of two and I can remember these sleepless nights! Babies naturally have shorter sleep cycles and wake up often. It is normal and natural for us to help support them to fall back asleep when they are little. They need our help! The only challenge is that if your baby gets your support to fall asleep at bedtime (rocking, patting, feeding), then he/she needs that support to fall back asleep for every middle of the night waking. This leads to restless nights for both babies and parents! But don't worry! I have some AMAZING news! Your little one is developmentally ready to learn how to fall asleep independently. This is truly the key to longer stretches of sleep every night. If your baby falls asleep on his/her own at bedtime, then he/she self-soothe during the night without parental support! Yay for peaceful evenings for the entire family (get out the popcorn and turn on Netflix)! I promise that your baby CAN learn to sleep well! We have helped thousands of families achieve peaceful evenings and our team is here to help you too in our 21 Days to Peace & Quiet program. Are you ready to help your LO build a solid sleep foundation that will last for years to come? If the answer is yes, then click the link below to sign-up and partner with us on this sleep journey!
