to add on to this: everyone has a diffrent bpm or song speed that they are comfortable with for me i do really bad at slow levels aka the tutorial levels but faster bpm things like black sheep i do way better and get a better accuracy and have more fun than just clicking every countable amount of seconds

Yeah I'm one of those who deals with the fast-ish ones (11-X and 12-X are my comfort zone, stuff like XT-X is something that I can do but inconsistently and I have beaten EMOMOMO with checkpoints but not speed trial). I hate XO-X for the stamina requirement really (I have only gotten the speed trial on mobile, but not on my laptop)

I’m actually the opposite of this! I’m better at the slower levels. I was pretty good for the first 5 worlds but starting doing terribly afterwards. (Even then though, Midnight Train was a struggle)

For me it's more in between (Not too fast, not too slow), but slower is a bit easier on me 🙂 If the tempo is too fast, then my brain and fingers can't keep up 😢 Too slow and it feels like ages 😞

I have about 300 hours as well however I haven't really gotten any better. Finished all the base levels and non ex of the dlc. I used to just use 2 fingers on my right hand but have been practicing using my index of either hand. Gotten a bit better at that but it still feels very unnatural. I'm stuck at doing double strikes. Like where there is a sharp corner and you hit two keys at once. That shit is impossible. Intuitively I understand it's 1-1-1-1-2-1-2-1 and so on but my body doesn't get it. And freaks out cause I can't read left or right will hit the 2 so I mess it up.

something i did that helped was do a full second playthrough where i had to use 2 fingers for sharp turns or enclosed shapes.

for the ones with the sharp corners i use 3 keys so I use v and n as my normal two then i use k and n when it comes across the corners

My way is to get familiar with the music. I beat At The Speed Of Light within the first 1 hour of the game. Still, all other skills are also important. Hand stamina go brrr

@@_notabee Skill is based on your play time, not how long you have had the game. So maybe if you really grind the level and spend maybe 1hr each day on it, you will 100% beat it. Also, skill does vary and some people find it easier to learn charts.

try lowering the speed in practice mode, and practice the hell outta the levels it sure helped me, you might not be an exception

slow down the song in practice mode and focus on timing it correctly, usually it's not that you're clicking too slow you're probably clicking the right speed just not in time fully :D

Only do levels you're comfortable with is terrible advice, no fail on levels I'm nowhere near beating has been some of the best practice for me

Well In my experience, it is very good advice because I find that if you play charts that are way too hard, you get worn out a lot quicker

It is definitely better to work your way up to hard levels like Rush E, but I do agree that it is very good!

@@dexlambon2235 bruh don't get me wrong I love geometry and have a decent few demons under that but even the best sync layouts aren't fully synced there's not a single level in gd where I would count it as a rhythm game. In fact it's straight up the opposite whatever that is, the jumps are kind of close ish to the music but but quite, having good rhythm is probably a handicap for gd

The 12 main levels cover all the basic ones you need to know. So, if you have completed them then it shouldn't be an issue. And if you haven't, I recommend that you complete them before trying some of the harder custom levels.
