Marshall JMP-1
Mesa Strategy 500 (Deep Mode is a MUST for this tone)
4x12 cab with Celestion 75s (i have a Mesa cab with V30s)
Settings for JMP-1:
Run the preamp volume fairly low so you can get some power tube saturation.
OD1 Mode
Bass Shift ON
Gain 20
Bass 1
Mids -1
Treble 4
Presence 2
Settings for Mesa Strategy 500:
Presence 7
Deep Mode ON
Half Drive ON

Preamp/Power amp. I rarely ever use pedals. The original song was amp gain.

Neck pickup? The clean intro in the song sounds like bridge pickup though. Maybe he switches part way through the song.

Killer tone man, too bad they dont make JMP-1s anymore... and theyre so expensive! Wish there was a pedal that could approximate that.

I run a simple Boss DS1 through a marshall code and it sounds pretty close to my ears

@@0megalul309It's part of it, but the JMP is the other half. The volume didn't sound too high in this clip.

@@0megalul309 You can get very close with just about any power amp, as long as its a jmp1 into a cab with g12t-75s and the same settings

@@electromuff7870 Nope. There was an orange amp for sale on reverb that was used on mellon collie tour and the caption says that it used a big muff and was mixed into his rack guitar tone to give it a big boost.

@@cactus-mcjacktus Well yeah I wouldn’t expect a big muff for cleans/the entire tone. I wouldn’t be surprised if he used that setup with other dirty tones. Not just the solos. Not much information on it.
