Bro when I was his age I would not have been able to sit through that. I’m now 17, and my 3 year old son got a haircut the other day and it was just a fade and a trim on the top cuz he already has curly hair. He sat through that fine. Proud of him.

@@yanishxramkumar i was 13 when he was born. he will turn 4 before i turn 18. i know that 13 is WAAAYYYY too young. But it will be nice once we are both older. I will be 23 when he is 10. and i have an amazing relationship with his mom and her family. the dad of my son's mom (so my son's grandfather) is like a second dad to me.

Unless his hair isn’t wavy or curly at all or you could Just spray on some Lightweight curl defining products like frizz ease. My hair looks kind of like his and it makes my hair really curly when I put it on

Agreed. You can clearly see the child already has curly hair. If anything curl rods and mousse would have been just effective. But why start off trying to make you hair into something it's not? I am sure the baby boy couldn't care less about how curly his hair is. Bad way to instill self-confidence.

Reading over my post, I see one point I need to make clearer, I didn't use the word chemical perm so here it is ' why start off trying to make you hair into something it's not "by using a chemical perm"?... So many black girls start off with getting their hair pressed and permed at a very young age for so long they don't feel confident their natural hair is beautiful or are self conscious of their hair being 'nappy'. Some have never seen their hair in it natural state. These are things handed down to them unintentionally. When you are old enough to decide for yourself you want to do these things, that's totally fine, no problem. Let's not start this child off thinking he needs a perm for curly hair when he hair is perfectly fine without it. Also whatever you're talking about is totally different and not the subject of this post. If you don't know what you're talking about or never experienced it, you should really keep quiet.

I don’t think he disliked anything, he was trying to get a specific curl pattern even though it looks the same in my opinion . I agree though, even though it was a mild perm I still don’t think this was necessary.

Hi there ! Some tips: You should apply the 1st lotion at the back wash sink for safety reasons. Wait about 5 mins and then take off the cotton wrap, and put a new one, otherwise he will get skin burned. After 20 mins unwrap 1 rod to check if hair strand is curly... Otherwise leave all rods 5 min more. Apply the neutraliser at the back wash sink as well...
