I blame the community for the wind burst situation. Everyone was so carried away with the mace and how wind burst worked that they didn't check how you actually obtained it. Barely anyone was talking about this before the release of 1.21 so mojang just forgot about it

To be fair, wind burst three is just way too strong to be viable in normal gameplay. Wind burst 1 is more than enough, and if you want 3 for a mini game or something, you can grind for it

@@reubendaniel5691 even wind burst I is laughably rare on bedrock. 1/75?? Average trial chamber has 6 ominous vaults so you'd have to do about 12 whole trial chambers chambers to just get 1 book, which is at minimum 12 hours of work (getting the map, finding the structure, fully clearing it, finding a new village in new chunks). And no, wind burst III is not really too strong as the fall damage can be very punishing, even with feather falling IV

So far in my world I've managed to get my hands on everything besides the enchanted books. We went through 5 trial chambers so far. Even managed to get 4 heavy cores in one run between 3 people.

In my opinion the best way to find a heavy core or any other rare item in the vaults is to calculate how many rolls it takes for the item to spawn. (The heavy core will take about 45 rolls). So you can count how many rolls it takes and guess how many rolls it takes. * This is how i got the mace*

You can find the bolt armor trim inside of normal wooden chests in trial chambers as well. I've raided 4 trial chambers and have come away with 2 copies of bolt and both came from wooden chests. Also got windburst 1 before I got a heavy core. Didn't realize how rare that was...

Duuude... not long ago i finished my quest for the "silent" armor trim.. and that had only about a 1% chance and you obviously only need one. And now wind burst ahaha.. lets gooo

If you want windburst on mobile/switch save the game in front of an ominous vault and crash the game if you don’t get the book, it takes a bit less time and effort(I’m doing this because I didn’t get a single book after 20+ chambers)

The day after the update came out I revisited the chambers to try and get wind burst 3, having no clue how rare it is. I thought I would be there for maybe an hour or two, but ended up taking 4 or 5 hours. Needless to say, it was a learning experience, and a relief to be over.

I was going to say that opening a vault only once was a bad idea but it actually gave me a reason to explore more in my world since I already did everything to my interest. Plus I can convince friends to join my world so they can help me.

I said it time and time again, but unless mojang revamps how additional storage adds up to your world when you are exploring more, then there is no incentive to explore, let alone explore inefficiently without seed finder and NO MAPS as maps add more weight on your storage

open seed tracker thing, search for a close by structure, get the exclusive to the structure loot, and hope you only increased the storage by a few mb's. With that said, it's a terrible idea to make the chamber a one time use per person

i haven’t seen anyone mention this but you can time it… if you break the blocks around it, you can see the random drops change options… kinda like the mario block where you get a random power up

One way of getting the book is by making several copies of your world then opening the vault again and again and again. It’s clearly way too rare.

It cannot be timed. You just get lucky. It's all random chance, and the loot visuals change to what the loot table chooses to give you when you open it.

@@radornic2387 it is timed though. The item you see is the first drop you get from it. This is verifiable in game. The only reason I could think it might not be the case is if Java and bedrock differ on this point, but I can't imagine that's the case.

@@lo0katmyn4me I really don't think it is mate. Maybe bedrock might be different, I don't play it, but I can confidently say it's really not the case in Java. I've played the 1.21 snapshot everyday since the first month it became available until today, and I've ran through god knows how many trial chambers. I've cleared everything in a 3000 block radius at this point. Even preview videos of the new features would specifically tell you that it isn't timeable.

I must have had insanely good luck because the first trial chamber I went to, I got an ominous bottle and drank it, defeated a couple ominous trials, got 2 ominous trial keys, and got a heavy core on my second ominous vault.

It took 200 trys for windburst 4 trys for precipice (my favorite) and at least 30 trys for the heavy cire

Also the fact that it's horrible. The mace is completely useless. Riptide 3 is a million times more effective and far less risky and extremely easy to land. Its even worse because Mojang wants to make the Java tridents the same as Bedrock's

@thnecromaniac I agree. I much prefer loyalty on a trident anyway because it's another ranged option, rather than being just another melee option(sword, axe, trident, mace). Riptide, to me, is basically just a conditional elytra, which I already have, but it can be used in more situations.

@GilbertTheGilbertGuy it really isn't. If you get density 5, you can use a single wind charge in your off hand and kill most of the low-medium health mobs with just one hit from that.

I got 2 copies of creator and a mace in my first trial chamber, but it took 14 trial chambers to finally get precipice. (I also found a trial chamber that had 3 regular vaults and 6 ominous ones so that's unlucky world generation that wasn't helping my cause any.)

I've got wind burst 2 on my mace rn and honestly the best way about it is to just make hundreds of copies of your world and open the same vault in hopes of getting it. I bothered to count how long it took me to get one book and it took 148 tries. Why mojang

Honestly, and hear me out... wind burst 1 is better than wind burst 3. Because its way harder to chain a combo from 20 something blocks in the air than from like 8. Sure level 3 does more damage, but even if your rocking feather falling 4 is does like 3 hearts of fall damage.

THE easiest way to find a trial chamber is to copy the world and go in creative then type( /locate structure trial_chamber) then the cordinates of the trial chamber will shown on the screen then go to your main world and follow the cordinates .

raided seven ominous chambers so far, and got zero creator discs or wind bursts. six god apples so far, and two heavy cores. ah, and i found precipice in a chest, im not sure if that's intentional, but you can definitely find precipice in some chests.

@@cringecande_9352 it absolutely is. ominous trials are way too plentiful regarding golden apples. especially when you compare an ominous trial (not a difficult challenge) to an ancient city (warden moment). much easier to kill some armored zombies and blow boys than to evade the warden.

Clear an entire trial Chamber from enemies, save some trial Keys and then make a backup of your world and reclaim all rewards. You always can load the original save and try again.

I got all the new disk in the chambers and copy's of it, I have been in the trial chambers for 3 days I'm not even kidding I have only 1 mace, I've been in there with only iron armor or no armor, ITS BEEN WAR MAN THEM TRIALS DANGEROUS

It is absolutely brutal. There's a bug where of a mob from an ominous trial kills you and takes your armor, they won't drop it upon defeat. Lots of people reporting losing full sets of netherite.

It is simply way too much for a very niche item. If they want to keep this odds, they should at least make the vaults be opened over and over, otherwise we will all inflate our world's size. Yes, it encourages exploration, but it's too unnecessary, and it compromises the chances of new structures in the future from generating as we already explored too much. I doubt mojang will ever care.

I think it is will be very good if the minecraft itself provide it but only once every one update, it is very good mechanism, so the player itself that will prune the part of their world and the feature is provided by mojang, that's it, problem solved
