I'm of the belief that the reasons why you CAN'T do something (fund a business) is always easy to point out. How do you get resourceful and figure out a way to fund it? Based on your comment above- 90% of businesses would've never gotten funding. If you continue to think of all the reasons why you cannot make your dreams happen, you'll never be successful. PERIOD. The most successful entrepreneurs, were resourceful and figured it out despite their circumstances.

I don’t think we should be taking out a $350k loan if you have none of these 🤣 I only get paid say $75-90k and I put $10-20k in savings every year instead of partying so when I’m 26 I’ll have enough to buy my own business at least a small one. My parents were never around I actually don’t have any family left besides a couple cousins. They’re worse off than I. So a loan against a house is out of the question. Still managed to get a nice rv for super cheap best decision ever. I live anywhere. No rent. Don’t have to drive if I don’t want too. And still have a nice toyota car for commutes. It’s about sacrifice. Those of us putting in the work are going to leave you all behind. Never went to college never will

Thank you for this. I'm having analysis paralysis right now and am stuck watching all these KZfaq videos and not taking enough action. I ha e my LLC and EIN but now I'm rebuilding my personal credit because I took the personal credit route to fund my business, now it's messing up my business credit applications. I also need to up my income with my side hustles. I'm using Doordash right now. I need more money. I'll keep refining how to tackle this. Thank you.

Beware about using your retirement. I have several businesses and I used some of my retirement money to fund one of my business. There are a lot of cons to doing this and if you don’t understand them and comply, you can be fined enormous amounts of money. Trust me I know. I was fined about $75,000 by the IRS. Fortunately, I was able to get the fines forgiven.

Great point. The companies that offer ROBS plans should certainly make sure to be thorough in explaining the pros and cons, and regulatory requirements. Using retirement funds definitely would not be my first choice, but if it's your only choice- make an educated decision! Thanks for your insights.

You can't get stuck on creating an LLC, that takes 5 minutes. Go to your states Secretary of State website to do it. You also don't need an LLC to start taking action and making money.

You do NOT have to set up the LLC in the state that you live in. There are some circumstances where it would be beneficial to set it up out of state, such as setting up an anonymous holding company so you don't have tenants showing up at your personal home.

I doubt it- the lender will give money based on YOU. If those items not matching come up, you can fix it then. Lenders care about one thing...your ability to repay them.

My main issue of funding is that most places I want to apply to want me to sign as a guarantee for my business but I do not want to do that, not because I feel my business will be unsuccessful but if I’m signing a as a guarantee what’s the point of a “business” loan.

I’m sure there are potentially ways to monetize that. One is to secure an operational partner to run the business. The thing is this…ideas are a dime a dozen. EVERYONE has ideas. Not everyone can actually execute, and take an idea and push through the friction of making it a reality.

Unlikely. Grants can be hard to come by. Everyone wants a shortcut. Basically the question is- can someone just give me free money without me having to have the responsibility of paying it back...

It is very likely! His comment was a bit discouraging. I know plenty of women who've gotten grants pre-revenue. Some grants are okay with it and some aren't.

What happens If you are already in business but you don't have any personal or business credit. You need money to expand, But no banks or lenders will give you any money. You don't own any personal or business assets.

Sounds like you need to build some credit, or try to borrow money from friends or family. But think about this- if you have no credit, no money, no assets- would you lend money to yourself?

I understand wanting the answer quickly. I mean there is a fast forward button. 😆 Haters will hate. I actually get a lot of comments of people who really enjoy my content, value a deeper understanding than trying to get a quick answer. They build a relationship with me through my videos and understanding my story, and the full picture and how that can apply to them. That's my target market.

@@TariqJohnson I was just disappointed that I spent so much time watching the video and didn’t learn anything new. A home equity line of credit has nothing to do with business funding. Since you said that you were just learning then, you get a pass. As a new business owner, who’s using his own capital, it would be nice to get some good funding sources, but doesn’t make or break me. @@TariqJohnson Venture capital vs. Hard money vs. traditional lenders. How to determine the best fit. Good and bad of each. Existing businesses can leverage receivables or working capital loans. Lease vs. buy equipment. Short term vs. long-term debt. Do you need a partner instead of a loan? Is it worth it? Should you give away equity in your company vs. borrowing money? How long of a track record do you need? Is paying a higher interest rate worth it to have fewer restrictions in how the money is used? Are inventory flooring companies a good option? The list is long. Bootstrapping is for beginners. Credit cards are for beginners. Family money is for beginners.

So long story short if you don't already have money you get to just stay poor and keep working a dead-end job until you die. My how the American dream has truly died. Literally every movie and TV show I've watched about starting a business was a complete lie. You basically have to have money already to start a business then pray you make money long enough for a bank to even sniff in your direction for a loan. Whatever happened to pitching an idea to a bank with a sound business plan and completing market research and securing a loan to start a business. Nowadays apparently if you aren't already rich you stay poor.

That sort of victim mentality will keep you poor. It’s not about your resources, it’s about your resourcefulness. My first job I made $6 an hour. My first salaried job I made $34k a year. I stayed positive and faithful while working my tail off.

It’s simple get loans used said loans to pay back those loans build credit and trust with a bank your going to get bigger loans you can put a house and car on your taxes and say it’s for your business also get an llc this shits simple invest in stocks spend 1000 buy 500 in green buy 500 in red sometimes it fails sometimes it hits good and you make bank learn time and money management skills common sense ain’t so common
