Pickup is still bit far. They don’t pay us to drive to customers pickup location. Only pays us from pickup to drop off.

Whenever there’s a surge they reduce the base fare before adding the surge. $8 trip with a $4.50 surge, so without that surge it would’ve been $3.50 for a 15 minute trip?? Lol

If Uberx total trip miles not at least $2 close to dollar amount, not taking it. 3 mi pickup, 6 mi dropoff should equal $7+ at least. However, I usually work surge areas so I’m normally making equal amount or more than total miles. Pay attention to your trending areas and times for good pay. I live in Nashville btw, a very growing City.

I guess if you want to go in that general direction is better to have someone, but 5 miles and realistically if you hit traffic or pickup takes their sweet ass time you are looking at potentially 15-20 minutes. $8.03 for 20 minutes is horrible. But if it gets you closer to where you want to be and "maybe" you get a tip, then all the power to you!!

I have to disagree with you. This is a terrible ride. They are actually paying $3.53 to travel 5 miles. If you want to make more money stop taking those rides. As long as drivers take them Uber will continue to pay low.

While I agree with you on this, what would you do if this is the only rides requests you got? There’s such thing as shadow banning, if you keep saying no, then that’s the only rides you will get, I wish it was that simple, just chose what pays more, but unfortunately that’s not how it works

Not available where I live, but if I drive hell 6hrs east to the big city, it tells me the pay there. It even shows all the buildings and the address which makes pickups and drop off a lot easier.. I come home and it's pretty much a blank map with roads... Uber sucks ass!

Only way it’s ever going to change is if the majority of drivers in these cities stop accepting trash offers and refuse to move their vehicles for under $1.50 per mile.

My opinion on Uber comfort is that you’re going to have larger passengers and more passengers in your car. Is it worth it for an extra .13 cents per mile and 40 cents base fare to destroy your suspension with all these extra obese passengers in your car every day? You tell me

If you can afford it go for black, Uber XL is slow and you will need to except ride from UberX and comfort to make up the difference, unfortunately, driving an UberXL you will not make more money than UberX. It just looks that way., the only way to make more money having an Uber excel after your vehicle is very fuel efficient then you could do all the rides and maximize your earnings

I shoot for .75$ a mile so I'd take it. My car gets like 35mpg and only cost 10 grand though, other people say it's not worth it to them but after a week I've already made enough for 2 payments on my car!
