Sam exactly what Sescom cable should I purchase to work in conjunction with the Zoom H5 and my Lumix GH3 to eliminate any noise issues?

Pointer number 5 - Don't forget to monitor your audio. You understandably left that out since it's about the "Basics of Video Microphones" but I see way too many people walking around with DSLR rigs and don't monitor their audio and don't know if they are peaking, are getting any RF hits or even have any signal from their mic until it's too late.

i can hear a slight hiss on ur vid. how would u remove that in pre shooting (making the capture as good as it can be without editing on post production). (if u idnt notice there was a hiss in the first place of course)

+pikakiko I just listened to my video again. I suppose there is a slight bit of hiss in there, at points. The bigger problem to my ears is the reverberant room. You can hear the sound of my voice echoing off of the walls, ever so slightly. The echo sound could have been avoided if I had set up a few c-stands with arms and draped moving blankets around the room, to kill the echo. So, your question... how would you remove sound before the shoot? Well, if you seek a hiss-free recording, I would recommend using a mixer with very high-quality, low-noise preamps. I'm in the process of editing a shootout video right now between the Tascam DR-70D, Zoom H4n, and Tascam DR-40, and I can assure you, they all have a little hiss, even when used with good microphones. You will need something like the Sound Devices MixPre-D to get drop-dead quiet preamps, and then record into a quiet recorder, like the Sony PCM-M10 - amzn.to/1GmLsxu - and of course, you are going to need great microphones. Another important thing to do is to listen closely to the space you are shooting in. If the space isn't dead quiet, your footage won't be, either. Kill all HVAC systems, and unplug nearby refrigerators when it's time to roll.
