How to Get Hardwood FAST Using Mahogany Trees in Stardew Valley 1.5

This video guide will help show you how to use the new mahogany trees from the 1.5 update in Stardew Valley to quickly get tons of hardwood. The 1.5 update brought about tons of new features to Stardew Valley, and many of them have not yet been fully explored. In this video, I cover little known methods and details about the new mahogany trees, how to get mahogany trees, and how to efficiently get hardwood on your farm in Stardew Valley 1.5. You can chop down the trees, but leave the stump. The stump still spreads seeds so it will still multiply. Once it multiplies further, you can get rid of the stump and continue the pattern to grow more trees without effort.

Damn yesterday i had this same video idea but you beat me to it. Your method is also better because i didnt know that mahogany trees spread saplings so i would have just told people to cut them down. Great Video

You can do this off the farm to save space Also trees won't grow fully if they're right next to another tree but your mod seemed to bypass that rule But when a seed spawns and is still in the first stage of growth you can use your pickaxe to pick it up and move it wherever you want

That's not true. They can grow next to each other. It's slow as hell but they do grow.

I like playing on the beach farm. I use the lower left area that normally isn't good for much, as my tree farm area.

O.M.G. Thank you! I need 100 hardwood and with this video I can get as much as I need and bow I FINALLY know what to do. I have just been waitinv for my stumps to keep coming back but now that I saw this I know what to do and I feel stupid because I now know and it is like common sence! Duh!!!!

with the logs in the secret forest, you get 12 hardwood from all of them combined. (two for every stump.) on the four corners farm ( I don't know if there's one on other farms other than four corners and forest) there's a single stump in the top left corner. this can give you 14 hard wood every day, plus a bunch of the hardwood once your trees grow. AND if you got the lumberjack skill (level 10 foraging from the forager skill) you have a chance to get hardwood from every tree ! this means you can still get a hardwood farm (probably getting less hardwood though) if you plant regular trees.

I have that in my farm (the stump) but it only gives me 2 hardwood (I think sometimes I have seen 2 stumps)

they grow in all seasons except winter. they will still be there in winter, they just wont grow during the winter. hope this helps.

True, those may have been a bit close, I didn't consider the mod affecting it. I'd recommend just picking up the seeds off the ground once they start spreading and put them however works best for you

Actually, only fruit trees (and the mushroom tree) cant grow right next to each other. Common trees such as pine, maple, oak and mahogany can all grow next to each other.

@@joshh7017That's what it says. "The only limitation on (common, including mahogany) tree seedling growth is that two mature trees cannot be side by side: a seedling will never grow past stage 4 if there is a mature tree in any of its eight adjacent tiles."
