And Alpha, you might of been obsessed with it because of Vice City. In VC, it had a fully rendered interior (no mod) that you could explore. Rockstar might of excluded the interiors because they know that the bad guys like the emulate their games and it might show a "loophole" in security that they can exploit.

You missed a couple of hours. The first one was that green arrow on the interior on the right. The other one was straight ahead from the roof.

There was a mission for Michael to fly to North Yankton to chase back Trevor before he finds out Michael's grave, maybe Rockstar was intend to let us play as Michael to go through the boarding process, so they made interiors, but the mission which we finally played, skipped the process.
