@DnBHARLEY Iracing is really bad for that in low splits too I'll try to draft someone in the corner just for them to SLAM on the brakes a full second early and then yell profanities at me because we wrecked The only good racing I've had is in the rookie series on oval, dirt oval, and the VW Beetle rallycross

I fully agree with this. I have fun racing with an irating of 1.3k. If I get faster and naturally get a higher rating then so be it, but it’s not my aim. I mainly like Iracing because it matches you with somewhat similar racers of a similar standard.

If only people paid more attention to safety rating and less to irating then iracing would be a much nicer place! Irating should be a hidden score used for matching in the background, not for people to brag about

@@craigf1tz found the guy with 800ir. Kidding, i have 1800 but i don't let it bother me at all, i know it's fairly low compared to others but i look at the lap times of people in the top split and i'm honestly happy i'm not there. I'd be getting lapped all the time.

Just start from the pit in rookie series and you'll finish top 10 unless you're just so terrible that you won't get iRating any other way anyway.

@lavachemist sure that works in rookie and lower sof where people wreck out alot but once you get above 2k irating that won't work. Also if you start from the pits you don't really learn anything. At the end of the day I'd rather lose irating or SR and still learn something....

I have never found a clean race in any series. Especially from the last week. Now my irating is below 1k and I'm losing my a class license again cause these morons don't understand the concept of "take it easy"

Yea your right I’m gunna start running them again prob I got up to 1600 irating and I’m bout down to 1100 in a week cause of idiots I’m going back to SK modifieds I guess to get my rating back up , I have just been racing trucks , xfinity , and cup cars for about a months straight after getting it up that high now I just can’t avoid accidents

Up to about 2K iRating that probably works , after 2500 irating you need to be finishing top 5 or so and will be in top split so have to race at start or you wouldn't catch up.

So you can feel bad about yourself when racing simulated cars. Generally speaking top 2 splits in iracing have better quality of racing , in reality its often only top 10 places in top split where people can drive fast and clean.

Well no because the tips in this video are not dumb tips like do X or Y idoit thing , the tips are LEARN HOW TO HANDLE THE CAR SO YOU DONT CRASH and Drive in series where you can avoid bad drivers and cars that make it esear to avoid bad iracers , becuse the biggest way to lose IR is from getting wrecked / crashing , not from finishing in top8 which for people under 3k ir will almost always end up with ir gain.

1) this video just explains how to farm ir , not that it's a good thing to do 2) the video on my channel after this explains why farming ir is pointless and why ir doesn't really do anything after 2500-3k 3) ir is also rather broken as obvously GT3 is way different from formula racing 4) GT3 and Porsche cup is for people that like driving cars that have the response of a wheel barrow filled with concrete. 5) as for who should be 4k or not it's litrally just down to who has wasted the most amount of time hot lapping and memorising inputs to have good pace not that that's unrealistic same thing happens at local go kart tracks where drivers with very limited craft have great pace simply because they have driven same place from age of 4 😆. I'm awfull at iracing as I drive from ffb + like to overdrive a bit then dile it back , I racing lacks a bunch of vital ffb forces and also massively punishes over driving , yet by just memorising a line and brake points I'm easily finishing top 4 top split all day long at donno brands hatch olton park. ( With multiple cars) AC , R3E , RF2 I'm on it right away without needing to memorize to the same level and pace is also more about ballence at the limit rather than the basic brake turn line driving. Obvously for a person to always be over 3k they are probably a semi decent SIM racer.

Yah I did tons of F3 , at lower ranks if you litrally just pootle around you gain ir due to other people wrecking. Split 1-2 You have to have good pace and quali in top 3 or so or its just random wreckfest.

Lol. If I could qualify in the top 3 we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Like in all competitions, the rules are designed for the winners. Not the people who actually pay the bills. Such is life.

for people with less than 2k ir - yes litrally finishing races in f3 will gain them tons of ir , i did it myself before ir04 came out. people in top split 2500-3k ir then no f3 is death

@@Simlife101 I was gaining a ton of IR in F3 even though i was way off the pace , simply because I had irffb installed and was not wrecking even more so when i was in split 2 or 3 of F3 people litrally cannot finish the race and even when i was 2+ seconds off the pace i would gain IR just for finishing.

The worst iracers are the ones that cause accidents all the time and the biggest skill to gain irating up to 3k at least is simply avoiding other iracers not even winning or being in top3 , avoiding other iracers is litrally the best way to gain ir. untill you get to higher ir.

I need to do well to earn anything. If im car number 5 and i dont finish close or above that i lose irating so im not sure what you mean in a nice way because for some reason people are very touchy in your comments and take things to heart

The system of iRacing should make sure that everybody is trying to race clean and fair, but from my experience i had much more better and cleaner races on ACC. I got punted in almost every race on iRacing, thats why i lost the motivation and i will not renew my subscribtion. And i think its very ironicaly that everybody who gives a hint how you can earn irating is telling you to avoid other racers, to not qualify and start from the back to wait for the first corner crash.

@@EP76 Tbf for me it was the exact opposite. ACC was a catastrophe. iRacing is mainly clean

iRacing does not let you push the tires or actually drive on the limit properly its halarouse how so many people give it a free pass or just don't talk about it. ACC has much more realistic tires but the sims FFB is lacking crucial detail at the limit AC is still by far the best sim for how tires work in real life along with FFB so you can actually feel where the limit is and drive on it properly just like in a real car / go kart. but yah iracing is halarouse you have to learn a super specifc weard way of driving that involves always staying under the limit.

To get irating up you have to "not race" basically just got lap in races and make sure you can qualify in top 5 for the split you are in. Other drivers and the physics and netcode are far too iratic for proper close racing. SR just comes automatically from not racing and hot lapping. For i rating and SR the worst thing you can do is "race" Even at 4k the skill of drivers is awful largely due to how punishing iracings tires are but also how many hotlappers that can only drive one line there is.

@@GamerMuscleVideos My point is that if you can't race (by that I mean be decent enough to be finishing in leading midpack groups) you will hit a peak and basically end up peaking your iR UNLESS you improve to be a better driver that does finish at least in high midpack as the iR climbs and splits become more challenging. Example, eventually you'll end up in splits where just going around the track finishing laps isn't going to increase your iR if you keep finishing last, it'll drop your iR right back down to where your pace is. AND if your pace is good, you'll end up climing the iR ladder anyways so not sure why iR needs to be 'farmed'. My comment was targeted at new racers who have not yet developed a decent pace, it gives them a false hope that they can just do as suggested and farm 3000-4000 iRating.
