How to Get Metallic Lipstick without dealing with Kylie Jenner. A big makeup trend of 2016 has been metallic lipsticks! Watch this video and see an easy and quick way to make your own metallic lipstick at home using just a couple of everyday items. To make your own metallic lipstick the base color must be a metal eyeshadow (e.g. gold or silver) to create the metallic effect. Whatever pigment color you create can also be used on your nails eyeshadow and lips to give you a cohesive makeup look.

Petroleum jelly is highly toxic and can cause cancer, so I avoid it. Could I use Waxelene?

That doesnt sound good. I havent used Waxelene before you could give it a try or make your own natual petroleum jelly using beeswax, coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter and cocoa butter :)

I clicked on this video for the thumbnail but your version looks nothing like that. It's misleading. If they are pictures from her ad you'd think that's the look you'd be going for. I like the idea of it but it just doesn't look that good I'm sorry to say. I think it could be your lip liner or this natural color of your lips which is very rosey red. Please don't be offended I'm giving you honest feedback.

Generally untouched it lasts ages as it's petroleum jelly. But it does wipe off when touched so it would come off a bit e.g, with glasses, especially if you did the 2nd method as this is more creamy than the 1st menthod.
