That's how I started my business. Here's a helpful strategy....Cold call stores when the sun is shining directly in the front windows, so they can see how dirty they really are. I also use the same strategy when making follow up calls or calling clients that haven't had them done regularly. It's an extremely successful strategy.

Hitting the pavement is the best way to get business if you are starting out. It has been working for me. I picked up a customer just by cleaning a store front. It’s a great feeling plus they see your work. You never know who is watching. Great video

I usually walk up with my bucket, and say something along the lines of "hey, I run a window cleaning business, and I'm doing some work in the area. I was wondering if you'd like your windows cleaned?" I've gotten a lot that way, but I'm definitely gonna start leaving a physical quote. (I already hand out business cards)

Interesting. But how do you get bank branches? Most branch managers don't make such decisions. I'm trying to get a whole route of bank brance$$$.

Usually can get an email address from the branch some times the website.

A lot of places will refer you to their corporate offices. It can take a while, and some back and forth, but once you're an approved vendor, you're approved for all their locations. I have gotten a few chain restaurant accounts this way.

Do not ask if they have a service. Tell them they need you. Only talk to a decision maker otherwise you're just wasting time. If hesitant, do a window for free. Show them you're a pro. Letting them think about it and leaving a business card is a great failure stategy. Always follow up. Always sell with the idea that YOU are doing them a favor. Never give up and when they hire you do fantastic work...exceed expectations.

I would not bother pricing it out if they do not want you. Waste of time. 1. Ask to you have someone contracted to do your windows? Yes- ok when does the contract end so I will give you a pricing 3 moths earlier. No... £££€€€$$$$ 2. Are you happy with them? Yes :( No $$$£€£€££€
