why you gotta complicate things "just to be safe"? you don't need to catch anything, just track sleep for 90 mins and reset. it's simple

@@xarkantos1614 auto catch one Pokémon takes 15 seconds, so while experimenting, better safe than wasting 1.5 hours

Same. I got 2 “days” on my first day because I woke up turned it off turned it back on and went back to sleep. This morning I woke up got the rewards but no progress on the research

It did log me out again, but it did work once I connected it so this is definitely the way to go. Thanks for the heads up on changing the time while still in game

@@GFNxx Update! It did work! It seems like this is a good enough work around to get ahead a little bit. Lol. I missed Friday and Saturday on my alt account, so I'm trying to set the date backwards to see if that also works. Will update in another 90 minutes.

Actually, I would say you are more likely to get it. Have you noticed that once you get a shiny, you tend to get more of the same? It's usually because of the way the RNG is set up. For example, I have dozens of shiny alolan Marowak, but I know so many people who have tried hard and couldn't even get

@@michellewest7284 yeah that's what I mean. People constantly misunderstand fundamentally how random number generation works. It is impossible (literally impossible) for a computer to pick a number at random. You have to tell it to a specific algorithm so it picks each number a certain amount of times. This ends up with you having many shiny Pokémon of one species and seemingly trying for years to get a different one. So if you already got shiny, Snorlax, you are more likely to get another one.

To manual throw disable auto throw then set the pokeball you wanna throw and it should work if not return it and get another yours might be defective

​@@danielgeller2740there's not enough testing to tell what the shiny rate for sleep cap Snorlax is yet. So could be 1/500 or 1/60(probably 1/60 due to how it's acquired and the time it takes to get 5 encounters.)

It worked for me twice this morning I think the sleep times just need to be longer than 90 mins every time.

Try changing your sleep data upload in time i.n the settings and waiting for that time to pass and it show your daily sleep rewards

So it doesn't work every time I've had it be 50/50 but I was at 1 when I woke up today and I've gotten it to go up to 5 out of 7 and I'm hoping to get it to 6 before bed then get the 7th when I actually wake up. Good luck to you but it's definitely not patched.
