If you have an extra room (study room) make sure to get rid of ANY distractions or anything that you might find distracting, chewing gum helps and take a 5-10 minute break every 30-45 minutes to exercise (exercising helps concentration) listen to instrumental music and create a timetable so that you don't have time to do the work any other time but now...take notes in class on what you might want to look up at home so that you already know what to study.i advise keeping those little plastic holders in your Atoma or keeping a folder for your homework, timetable after school, timetable during school and any other important sheets. Keeping fit is very important for concentration and confidence, helping you concentrate during class and feeling confident enough during class, for my weaker subjects (like french) I always make myself put my hand up 2 or more times during class (and answer) Remember, you don't have to be good at a subject to get okay or good grades, if the teacher thinks you put enough effort into your work, you're guaranteed to get better grades. If you have trouble with concentration make sure to: Exercise regularly Try concentration meditations (these really work!) Make sure you're getting enough sleep (note that teenagers need on average at least 9 hours sleep!) Try to go to bed at the same time every night so that your brain doesnt get confused Take smoothies to school and keep fruits in the freezer (these help boost your brain activity, energy and concentration) And if you really do forget to do your homework, just be honest with the teacher and explain what the fault was. Laziness isn't an excuse! (I advise putting notifications on your devises 2 times a day until the homework is due) The most important of all: have respect for your classmates, don't act snobby and don't kiss up to the teacher for extra marks, remember that you're equal to the rest of your classmates no matter what your grades are
