Hi doc, I haven’t properly washed it for my whole 19 years of living reason being is because I’m scared to retract it fully in the morning as it feels slightly tight when it’s half way retracted (not erected), but I wash what I can in the morning, Oddly enough when I’m chilling on my bed at night I could retract it all the way and surprisingly have no smegma but it does occasionally smell sometimes, now this is where I’m slightly concerned because my (corona of glans) is purple and take this into consideration I haven’t had sex ever as I’m a virgin but I wank quite often. Can you explain why this is?

Bro I am going through the exact same thing. I didn't even know that it is getting accumulated under my foreskin cause I was afraid of retracting my foreskin since it was a bit tight and when I recently discovered it I was scared, and as you said the bottom part of it has gotten purple and it smells.

All good and you are normal, this is just part of aging. Retract where comfortable, you can retract the foreskin of an evening and wash with just water. Different colours can be common as you are developing. Skin that's more exposed may be a slightly different shade compared to less exposed skin. I hope this helps.

Dr I just pulled back my foreskin for the first time yesterday and I'm 17 yrs old so it's really sensitive around the area I can wash it by water but I can't clean it , I can't even touch so there are some smegma left in the area cause I can't even clean it with a napkin so dr plz tell me what to do

Hi there, can use an emollient to clean.if too sensitive then just use water and dab dry. Retract the foreskin more will help to reduce sensitivity. Don't sleep with foreskin retracted. Few videos on this. I hope are helpful. Take care

How do you apply the emollient do you apply it directly on the smegma?

Just use as a soap substitute. Wet skin then place emollient directly onto your body and smegma and then wash off.

@Jamescurny yeap, retract the foreskin where possible and including when washing. Avoid soap. Replace foreskin when going to sleep. Take care

@Helloiam133 if you are completely unable to retract at all then you may not have any smegma as could be self cleaning. However if you have a hardened smegma pearl underneath, sometimes you can manipulate it to the opening. If interfering with sexual function then you may want to consider other options e.g. a slit or circumcision or stretching rings. This all depends on how extensive the problem is and your relationship or opinion you have to your foreskin. I hope this is useful.
