SORRY GUYS I HAD TO REUPLOAD AGAIN. Omg this exact thing happened previous week, KZfaq is making all my videos not HD. Now it's HD again, after I had to reupload. I lost all your views and lovely comments, so it would be amazing if you could comment again... Sorry for the inconvience, KZfaq is screwing with me :(

LilyLikecom: It's all good. I am actually having some technical difficulties myself; I am trying to watch KZfaq on my smart tv because it's a lot bigger, but my phone won't connect to the tv. Anyway, I really enjoy your videos, and it helps me get motivated for school. I have been a straight A student for 4 years now, but my main problem now is procrastination. Thank you so much for posting because your videos help me so much😁

Yes, please do a video on how to deal with failure. It's such an important subject! As a Straight A-student myself, I really struggle with the fear of failing.. But I would also like to add; that grades don't determinate your worth, and that does not only apply to people who tend to get bad grades. I think it is also important to tell people who get high grades, that their grades don't determinate their intelligence and worth. Because right now it is somewhat acceptable to measure people with high grades worth and intelligence by their grades, and it just puts a lot of pressure and even more fear of failing into these people. Because when the only thing you ever is told is that "you're so smart" and "you're doing so good", you start seeing yourself as just that, and nothing more. And the idea that your grades define you starts to get real. Which makes it so terrifying receiving a bad grade, because it makes you think your value is decreasing, and it makes you question who you even are, if you aren't the one with high grades. Idk, maybe I'm the only one feeling this way? But like, this is a constant struggle for me, I'm so used to only being complimented for my intelligence, and when I'm not "smart", I lose my whole identity..

Wow! This is the first time I have come across a 'How to get straight A's' video on KZfaq which I actually enjoyed watching and I understood exactly what you were saying. You explained everything so perfectly and expanded on the tips themselves instead of just shooting out bullet points which I am extremely grateful for. I took down two and a half pages of notes and I am going to use them when I go to school and I am 100% sure that they will work. So thank you so much for this video and I do want to applaud you because you seem like such a hard-worker, very productive and exactly who I want to be like when I am older. I am 16 right now and I've always felt quite lost during school but your advice has set me on the right path and for that I am extremely thankful. You've got yourself a new subscriber and I really hope you see this comment because I just want you to know how much this has helped me. This video was a blessing. Thank you!

Yes please do another video on insecurities/fear! Do you have issues with being a perfectionist? if do you, how do you deal with it? i feel like i am too much of a lazy perfectionist and that is what is stopping me from studying 'smart' and efficiently and writing my exams well.

Years ago, I studied something that I didn't want to study, just because my parents made me do so. I graduated, but there was no pleasure in it. And I had hard time passing certain courses that were supposed to be easy... just because I couldn't concentrate on things that I didn't really care about.

Hi Lilia! I really liked this video and I will try to do what you said. I have trouble everytime I´m studying for an exam and while I do the exam it feels like I will make it and not fail, but it turns out I was all wrong.. I didn´t knew as much as I thought. I really hope you will do the other video cuz I would really need it :) Your videos are the best! Don´t feel bad about it that the video didn´t turn HD at first and that you had to reupload, I understand that it´s frustrating but we are all just happy everytime you put up a video. If you have a busy time it´s ok that you don´t put up alot of videos during that time. Lots of love from Sweden

I wish I found you earlier Lily... When I was doing my Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering.. Nope, in the video she is explaining that she is aiming to get straight A's - which in the Netherlands is translated into 8 (the education system in NL is much more complicated then in the US where you can purchase with money a master-degree on Harvard or Yale). Only rich and spoiled kids are allowed to study higher education in the US, like Obama did.

Girl, if my proffessors were like you described them my life would be easy! Most of the times lectures don't matter. They can speak about different topics and then ask about something completely else! Studying law in Poland is really difficult, a lot of proffessors want us to memorise the whole book, which is like 800-1000 pages (or a lot more) + legal statutes and they are capable of asking about one sentence from a book! Let me give you an example: For the written exam of theory and philosophy of law we had 3 questions. I answered all 3 of them correctly. And it didn't help at all, I didn't pass because I didn't rewrite the book and put one exact sentence that he wanted. And he said that 2 out of 3 questions will be form lectures which wasn't true cause only one was. But I foresaw this and I studied the book too. And again, it didn't help. The educational system in this country is fucked up. When i was in primary school, middle school, high school I got mainly A's. I finished my middle school with the highest score of the whole school. Even though I didn't study much. And now when I'm finishing university this year, my grades couldn't be worse (though it doesn't matter anymore). I'm doing master's degree. I hope I finish this year. If anybody from Poland reads this - don't study law in Poland. Seriously. Go to another country, if you have this possibility. Law major here takes 5 years and you get master's degree. You can't get first bachelor's degree, it's just one long 5 years course.

I think it is quite weird that a student scores poorly in high school and then excels in University. Maybe in the Netherlands it's different but I would say that in general high school is way easier than college.
@Lilylikecom

I did the highest level of high school in the Netherlands (we have different levels here), which meant I had 15 subjects, including ancient Greek and Latin. Our high school was very strict and difficult, combine that with courses you don't really like and you don't get a high average grade (for English, Philosophy etc I always had a A/A+). So, no it's not quite weird :)

The same thing happened to me! I took advanced maths, physics, biology, chemistry and English in high school and had probably a B+ or A- average because I hated the subjects I chose and found the maths and science difficult to study for since I wasn't interested... now at uni I'm studying law and getting straight A's because I love what I'm learning and I'm more motivated to study 😊

I did badly in high school because I was immature and didn't understand how to study. But at the end of high school when I noticed my terrible grades got me nowhere, I realized I had to do something about it. I found studyblrs on tumblr. Since then until today I get As and Bs in uni :)
