So actually, you can get these in any order, the sheathed sword will appear at either dark altar, making said altar inert, and can then be changed at the other dark altar.

This feels like a shadow of the colossus refrence. The design is very similar to Wanderer's Sword, and the light skill is very similar to how it functions in gameplay, plus the whole dark and light theme overlapping. That's really cool if so.

Yeah i picked up the sword in the Sword of Light section then got the light attribute onto it in the Darkness altar so i think it is the order of pickup changes what altar does what

The Alters seem to change depending on which you get the sword from. I got the sword from the altar at Unte, so coming to the catacombs where he got the sword, it was a darkness one for me. So my guess, is one of the other altars will be your light one, either the one in the ruin, or the the one in the catacombs.

I think you can just re visit fog cavern to activate sword, unsure if it works to swap it back and forth though.

i already completed the fog rift catacombs before i got the stone sheathed sword. i didnt know what this altar was for. i just went back with the sword and the altar is eead. nothing here. so now what do i do? So if i give my sword of light to my buddy can i then take a second stone sheathed sword and get the sword of darkness?

I’m mad that I started NG+ and didn’t find all the cool weapons. I found the Stone sword and thought it was a King Arthur reference. Little did I know that the sword of light is a literal reference to Shadow of the Colossus’s sword… light beams and all.

This was the longest way you could have done it. Just go to the sword of light altar, the stone sheath sword will be there and you can take it to the Fire Giant Ruins to make it a sword of light and vice versa

If you already have the first stone sword, which I somehow did, you can change it into the sword of darkness at the same altar that you would initially find the sword in the ruins shown in the video

Yes the order of the altars doesn't matter. First one will have stone, second is dark then third is light

The sword of stone spawns in two diffrent locations the alter of light and the one in the dungeon it depends on wich one you run into first

Hello, it's very weird, I got the stone sword where you revive the fire golem, and when I went to the fog dungeon to get a second one, it wasnt there and it upgraded my sword to dark immediately. Why and is there another way to get the second ?

Depending on the order you visit the altars, you get a different one. Try one of the other altars and it should let you change to darkness

@@rafmoraes33 I know that there are three shrines on the map now, the one where you pick up the sword turns off until the end of the game, but there are two remaining, one gives the sword of light and the other gives the sword of darkness, so check the other two

That area is end game. U should be able to one shot those things with ease. There is no rot on the sides you can walk on that area.
