I saw the Shrouded Ghost once returning from the Shores of Gold Tall Tale. We would've attacked it, if we weren't being pursued by Reapers. The Reapers didn't even care about it, which means to me, they either didn't know about it, they already had killed it, or, they were only concerned with attacking us. One of the countless times I've been unable to play the game as I wanted, because of other players

@@Soul_404. Ah, sorry i misunderstood. but i agree. i try to avoid PvP as much as the next PvE player, but even i know there’s just some fights you can’t run from. and if you lose, you lose. just go get more loot.

I remember my first week or two in the game, I didn't realize that megs could be solod, for some stupid reason. So when I got a meg encounter, I'd just sail away. Unfortunately, I think I ran into the ghost. At that point I didn't know that there were other types of megs and dismissed it as a glitch. I should've learned from shinies in pokemon that these things are never a glitch

Thank you for this information and I hope you agree with my petition I made. If the shrouded ghost spawns in if you're in a ship battle with another crew both crews must have a truce to defeat the beast

Played two days ago with a guy who had the title and the figurehead so I recorded it as proof. Been sailing for like 2 years and never seen it myself and this was the first time ever I have seen someone in game with the title

I have 190 hr. I got a solo shrouded kill at 75hr and 2nd Meg kill. Title to prove it. Wish I had it recorded tho.

I remember encountering it with my crew as soon as we left an outpost to start our adventures. In fact, we were only a month into playing this game when we got the Shrouded. It was just lucky that I recognized it.

You're exactly right shrouded ghost is all based on luck which is why I don't understand why people are Pearl clutching at that title like they work so hard to get it and they don't want anyone else to have it

After each time I finished the theives haven run, I always get a Meg between plunder outpost and theives haven. The Meg also gives emissary value which might get u to grade 5. But no one ever wants to do theives haven run anymore.

Yea that's a good meg spawn spot, another good one is the open water east of Reapers going towards the south tip of Wanderer's Refuge.

@@pigxstix that is not a guaranteed Meg spawn location tho. Meg only spawns after 2 hours of gameplay, or after a long voyage/tall tale like shores of gold and thieves haven run.

I got shrouded while i was going through the portal rock, and it despawned, it respawned as the shadow maw :(

I have this title and figure head. I am a very casual seas player. I was playing on a sloop with another random guy and he started freaking out that we HAD TO FIGHT THIS MEG! We killed it, he was beyond jazzed about and said he had to log off to call his friends. I didnt know it was rare until i came on youtube to figure out how i got the figure head for my ship, right now.

2 days ago i was doing a tall tale and a skelly sloop attacked me because i went into a skelly fleet event AND A SHROUDED SPAWNED i dropped my anchor instantly and tried to shoot it with my sniper and pistol or cannons but it swam away never to be seen again all because of that damn skelly sloop which was blasting at me all the time

Megs are turned off in this update so you can't find a meg outside of the adventure, sadly.

Not always. It has a chance of spawning, but it's not guaranteed.

That's probably the Ancient Spyglass (the square one) it's a reward from the Stars of a Thief Tall Tale

So I was looking and I can't find anything that says it's time limited, but I did find this "Following this Adventure, pirates will once again be able to encounter the Shrouded Ghost in the wild and earn associated Commendations. Additionally, the Hunter of the Shrouded Ghost Commendation will award a unique figurehead to pirates who attain (or have already attained) it!" this is from the official Sea of Thieves Twitter (here's a link to the exact tweet) twitter.com/SeaOfThieves/status/1517059666655813634

The Shrouded Ghost figurehead is NOT time sensitive. Only the adventure is time sensitive.

I dont think the odds of the spawns are right. They spawn depending on what area of the map you're in. The shrouded ghost is the only one map wide.

@@TheWitherMaster Hungering one is: Shores of Plenty Ancient Terror is: Ancient Isles Crested Queen is: the Wilds Shadowmaw is: Devil's Roar It's not necessarily specific but the chances are more likely in those areas, it's also why you have to go to those specific areas in the Adventurs

fact: the shrouded ghost in the shrouded deep tall tale is a fake shrouded ghost meg, you can know its a fake shrouded because if didn't give you the title but, the shrouded deep is still a cool tall tale

Just so its out there and known just how rare this meg is, ive been playing since launch meaning i watched megs get added to the game....and even since then, almost what, 2 years later? Ive yet to see this damn shark....i dont even know how many hundreds or thousands of hours i have in game, and ive still never seen one even after spending an entire 12 hour session doing nothing but looking for it... hats off to anyone that has found it, but forgive me if i think ur full of lies😂

Happens all the time... One thing that might be of some help to you tho: a little after this video came out they gave the Shrouded Ghost unique spawning music, it's called "The Shrouded Ghost - Original Game Soundtrack" and you can find it on Spotify. So whenever a meg spawns, listen for the music, if you hear this track instead of the normal one, then you've got a Shrouded Ghost on your hands

I've seen the SG 4 times so far. Every single time it swam away. No idea why. I was constantly shooting it, cannon and pistol. Still ran away, every time.

If you go close enough to anything that's considered shallow water which means around any Islands or large rocks he will leave

You either went too close to an island, or you sailed out of the fight zone. If you ever encounter the Shrouded Ghost again, you'll want to drop your ship's anchor IMMEDIATELY so that its attacks don't force you out of the fight zone.

I don't know if the ancient terror is rarer than the shadow maw I defeated so many hungering and crested but I only deafeted 1 shadow maw and 1 ancient terror, I thought the shadow maw was rarer than ancient terror

@@macewindow149 Two that I can think of off the top of my head are the Ashen Winds stuff and the Ashen Dragon set. To get the Scorched Forsaken Ashes weapons, you need to kill each Ashen Lord a certain number of times. The one you fight during the world event is decided by RNG. Most of the Ashen Dragon set is only available after selling specific Ashen Tomes. Only three items can spawn in an Ashen Chest, and it might not even be the Tome(s) you're looking for. Heck, it might not even be an Ashen Tome at all. Just some trinket or a bag of coins. Whenever you open an Ashen Chest, you can only pray that you get the thing you want.
