I've been to Niagra countless times (lots of family in Toronto and Ottawa) but it's been about 20 years since the last trip. Things have changed a lot since then!

It used to be $10 roundtrip with no minimum play at casino before COVID! But it's not too bad even at $40 minimum play

You should have also visited Ripley's Believe It or Not - Museum of the Strange. And Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. Its in Niagara close by.
