The sword HAS an heavy attack, you just need to press Light + Heavy at the same time! Also the Sword appears to have around 270 sorcery scaling same as the Meteor Staff at 80 int which is obviously s**t for endgame!

Can you use a spell to buff the sword with magic or frost

The fact that you can't use ashes on it is baffling. There is about zero reason to use this over a staff. If you had at least option to add ashes to it, spellblade build would be nice. You could put Glintblade phalanx ash. Also carian grandeur or carian sovereignty. Shame.

I use it for utility. I like carrying a shield, bow, staff, and sword. And now I get to combine the staff and sword, and replace it with a perfume, torch etc. Also, bc there’s no ash of war I’m able to use carian sword with jellyfish shield since the thrust kinda sucks and the jellyfish shield boosts the spells. Additionally if im doing a light weight build, having the two combined into one is nice.
