@@caodogao4327 Well how can you do that Sherlock? Zombies are everywhere. And staying inside won't make you survive. You will run out of food sooner or later. The only way to actually avoid them is to live in a remote area, or just set the population to zero.

Exactly how things work IRL though. Oil tankers burn fuel, fuel trucks burn it, those floating oil rigs have COLOSSAL motors to stay in place and burn crazy fuel

Oh yes. Ive found a gen mag in a few mail boxes over the years. I try to check them whenever I can. Also why I try not to just randomly run them over lol

I searched 80% of homes near my base for that Magazine, only to find it in my neighbours mail box

Don't forget the post office. I have found them in the mechanics shop near the factory/storage lots and in a survivor house

Look for them in bookcases inside houses and mailboxes. I usually find them in there if I don't in schools and bookstores. If you're lucky enough, you may find them inside of trash cans

Someone checked out: between the 4 gas pumps (one gas station} there is 100.000 units of gas. Depends on sandbox settings too.

There is so much though that in singleplayer you practically have no possible chance of ever running a single pump out even if you survive for a dozen ingame years.

@@sasukedemon888888888 agree. There is a test where a player used his modlet to show how much gas was left in each pump. In his test, he was running 1 fridge, 2 freezers and a bunch of lights and stated that the fuel was enough to run that generator for 50 game years. It seems it is a multiplayer balance issue where 60+ players are sucking gas from the same gas pump. I can't picture 60 players all living around the same gas station, but hey..For a solo game, there is no practical way of emptying even one simgle gas pump set on "full" in sandbix settings, unlimited gas bug or not. The bug: apparently if you set gas pumps to "unlimited" they are full but not unlimited, while if you set them to "full" then they actuslly have unlimited gas. In my current game, 9 months in, i have 1 kitchen fridge, 2 ICE freezers and about 8 lights always on, and my generator uses 0.75 liters of fuel per hour, 18 liters per day. I installed the mod that allows me to change my sandbox settings in game and i noticed that at game start i set the generator fuel use to 50%. So one pump (red and yellow nozzles) if full has 12500+12500= 25000 gas / 36 = 694.4 days of fuel If gen usage was 100%, or 1388 days in my current game. Right now i moved to Louisville and have 2 fuel stations nearby, one with 2 and one with 4 gas pumps.

Also found lots of generators in Muldraugh in either of the three storage locations. Don't remember where I found the skill book though.

you definitely will find the generators themselves. book is the problem.

You will find a generator way before Louisville totally unnecessary going to Louisville early on just for generator just check sheds in peoples homes

The base station is March Ridge is also OP if you know how to utilize its location relevant to other scavenging spots.

Each gas pump have its own supply. In real life gas pump have like a container or pool below the gas pump

@@kurakuramalam7540 Ohhh ok, so in game it is each pump. In real life there are usually 4 giant tanks. 1 for regular 1 for mid 1 for super and 1 for diesel, and they are all hooked to all the pumps. Unless it is a really huge gas station, then there can be multiples. Thanks man, appreciate you!

The 2 opposite yellow nozzles share the same tank, max per tank is 12500 i think. Same for the 2 red nozzles. So one "pump" is 25.000 liter.

I think in these kind of games even if you don't min max every resource you find, you will still die from another cause unrelated to the resources you may or may not have min maxing. in other words most players die from something other than running out of gas for the generator or finding scrap electronics for the generator.

It's actually limited by default but there's typically way more in a single gas station than most people are ever going to use in a single play through. Also; the map is huge and there's more than one gas station out there, plus you can always set the gas amount to unlimited in the sandbox settings if you're actually concerned about running out of gas before you die.
