I'm thinking of getting into the trucking business as an owner/not operator and I've been watching quite a few KZfaqr's and this guy by far is the most informative, full disclosure guy out here! I've learned so much from watching his videos and I'll be making a decision whether I want to go box truck or Semi/tractor in the near future. I do not intend to drive but I may get my CDL just in case I have to. There are so many KZfaqr's that give teasers, clickbait, and half ass information on the trucking industry just trying to generate likes and subscribers for money that it's ridiculous. I can respect a person trying to build a channel, but this guy is operating from the heart and no I do not know him. I've owned businesses and done the research from scratch and I can truly say if if you are hating on this guy or worrying that he is giving up too much information, then you're probably not secure in your business or abilities. Whatever business you are in, don't forget that you are in the customer service business, if you keep that in mind you should be successful. In conclusion much respect DemetreusB and keep up the good work for the community.

Anybody can get authority, its what happens after your Authority is when the problems begin. did you tell your listeners u need ucr, 2290, irp, scac number, drug testing clearinghouse account (good luck with that took 2 months for anybody that was established prior to deadline back last winter) fed inspections, driver files, maintenance files, 90 day pm reports, certification on file for anybody making repairs on said vehicles showing proof of knowledge in brake maintenance, ifta account, certification of owner has been thru controlled substance training as a supervisory role, safety training, company policy on rules and regulations, cargo insurance, insurance filings, mcs 150, mcs 90 fuel tax account in state you are domiciled that means TAX dept in your state, and that is just a tip of the iceburg of the regulations, not to mention E LOgs if apply and administrator set up for elog audits, and around 15 months you will be notified of a FMCSA compliance audit either you must supply all required info electronically within few days or they come for visit, they may go easy on you first audit but after that the sky is the limit with fines for even minor irregularities, still want be a company owner good luck . OW by the way every driver you new hire must also be signed up with the fmcsa drug clearinghouse to grant you permission to dig into there past testing results and your future randoms, like I said the sky is the limit and rules and regs keep changing and fines are not cheap talking in thousands what you don,t know will impact your bottom line and safety rating.

I'm not clear, most people will be purchasing a truck and you must have insurance on the truck , if you are financing, which I would think most people will be doing!
