My cat loves to crawl underneath my bed and play. He has totally destroyed and ripped the entire layer that covers the box spring. He loves doing this early in the morning. I think it's his way of making me wake up. I did buy him two flat scratch posts.

You could try using furniture scratch guards. corner of my new matress the corner of it wooden cilles, corner of of walk entrences, any thing wood. carpet., oh yess im going to reward them alrite...all 3 are ruing my furniture. a cover ??

Oke if you need real advise go tho Jackson Galaxy.Or watch My cats from Hell.See where the cat scratches the furniture.In all pet store you can by sticky paper.Stick it around the corner of your sofa or the part of the furniture where they scratch,so when they go next time they touch the sticky paper and they wont like it.The most important thing is that you put the scratcher post right beside where they always scratch!!So".. oops there is a sticky paper,yuck...but right beside I can scratch"..if you watch My cat from hell you'll see it's really works for everybody.Very important,beside scratcher and tree you clarify your apartment,so you go online(etsy has good and cheap ones)and buy some catshelves..create a highway on the wall for them.They have amazing designs..so they can own shelves on the walls not only the floor!!!Good luck
