You could do the cross idea again. Just add glue that dries clear and sprinkle metallic glitter (sparingly so the black still comes through...ooooo, or use black glitter) on top. Then tie the burlap with cord that has shimmery thread (like Cotton Cord by Cousin, model# AJM65017266).
