How to Give Snakes a Bath!

You shouldn't bathe a snake just because you feel like it- you should really have a reason to. In this video I explain when it's necessary to bathe a snake, and the correct way to do so. Enjoy!

yeah the videos are great and educational and i learned a lot, but i wasnt even into snakes when i first watched! it was a hatching video and one of the little babies was peeking out and there were hilarious comments like "egg too comfy i no come out" is why i started watching more 😂 i think i watched the last four month's worth of videos in one week and i dont even have pets lmao

This is really my helpful! My ball python is a really bad shedder so we sometimes put him in a warm wet pillow case to help take the shed off.

Some cobras naturally eat other snakes. For example, the Malaysian King Cobra's primary food source is other snakes and monitor lizards. Candy Cane was bred as a feeder and bought by her friend who works with cobras. He asked if she wanted to keep one and she picked Candy Cane. She has a video about it if you want to look it up.

I had to give my roommate's ball python a bath recently 'cause she had a very bad shed. She seemed to rather enjoy the bath 'cause she was drinking the water and just chilling in the tub- it was adorable. The only thing she didn't enjoy was when I had to gently rub her head to get one of her eye caps off.

Ball pythons do NOT enjoy baths. If they're having a rough shed bump up their humidity. Baths are extremely stressful for snakes and should only be done in extreme cases.

We just found a snake that was clearly struggling with stuck shed. The only reason we knew what to do is because I watched this video some 3 years ago. We named the snake Honey, and she's doing pretty well now, the stuck shed issue has been resolved!

I had a ball python that loved baths! We used them for variety in her diet by adding feeder fish for her as well as for enrichment/play time. We always used our bathtub and a huge flat rock. I'd sit and read while she played. Once she curled up on the rock and dried off, we'd put her back in her enclosure. It was awesome!
